12:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller wanted to know the
rules on driving a golf cart in town and on Highway 61.
8:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted with prisoner
visitation.
10:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious vehicle reported
on Highway 61, between Seventh and Eighth avenues
west. The trunk was open and no one was around.
Wednesday, Sept. 13
8:01 a.m., Grand Marais: School patrol.
11:20 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
11:23 a.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made on an Iowa
warrant.
12:39 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
2:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a chocolate lab
running in and out of traffic on the highway.
3:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
11:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Trail Center said
he’s heard about 50 shots over the last hour.
Thursday, Sept. 14
8:03 a.m., Grand Portage: School zone patrol.
8:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Fifth Avenue West
said a political sign was taken from her yard.
11:05 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Fifth Avenue
West said his black cat, Smokey, is missing.
2:46 p.m., Grand Portage: A counterfeit $100 bill was
received at the lodge.
3:12 p.m., Grand Portage: School zone patrol.
4:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Highway contractors
said vehicles were unsafely passing trucks in the
construction zone on County Road 7.
6:00 p.m., Grand Portage: Complaint from Hollow
Rock Resort regarding two wet dogs that were running
around and bothering guests.
8:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on Sea Gull Lake
Road.
Friday, Sept. 15
8:09 a.m., Grand Marais: School zone patrol.
9:13 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lot of smoke
coming from the Rec Park pavilion.
11:27 a.m., Grand Marais: No injuries reported from a
two-vehicle collision on the Gunflint Trail. One vehicle
crossed the center line and clipped the other vehicle,
disabling it.
1:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from East Highway 61
had three brown pigs in his yard.
8:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
Saturday, Sept. 16
7:13 a.m., Grand Marais: Assault reported.
9:10 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
9:31 a.m., Grand Portage: Fire department called to a
vehicle fire on Townsite Road.
10:11 a.m., Tofte: An orange kayak washed up on the
shore on Sugar Beach Drive.
12:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
3:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there are two
children, ages 4 and 9, on the roof with an adult across
the street from the YMCA.
4:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Devil Track
Campground said his boat was just stolen.
9:59 p.m., Tofte: Domestic assault arrest made.
Sunday, Sept. 17
1:38 p.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle parked near the
donut shop was backed into.
4:06 p.m., Hovland: Caller said a friend was looking for
a dog on Lost Lake Road, and is now lost somewhere in
the area.
6:08 p.m., Tofte: Report that a couple was lost on the
Superior Hiking Trail.
6:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Inmate transport.
6:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported at
Birchwood Apartments. Someone parked a four-wheeler
behind the building and is now walking around.
8:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
9:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Sawtooth Ridges
said it sounds like dogs are fighting somewhere in the
woods.
10:29 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
