10:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an unlicensed
driver, with two children in the car and no insurance.
Wednesday, Sept. 6
6:49 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a beat-up ATV
parked at the Community Center.
8:13 a.m., Grand Marais: Medical call for a man lying
on the floor. Unknown what happened.
10:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic hazard created at
mile marker 99 on the highway, where the occupants
of a blue van were trying to change a tire in the
eastbound lane.
11:18 a.m., Hovland: A suspicious person was
hanging around Chicago Bay Marketplace.
5:24 p.m., Grand Marais: A beagle was loose on West
Second Street.
Thursday, Sept. 7
8:36 a.m., Grand Portage: School zone patrol.
2:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Assistance was requested at
Gene’s Foods parking lot, where a kid has wrapped
the seat belt around his hand and can’t get it off.
7:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Trespassing at the Search &
Rescue buildings reported.
10:18 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
Friday, Sept. 8
7:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of a bike
from Harbor View Apartments.
12:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint
regarding a vehicle parked in the bike lane on
Wisconsin Street.
1:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious vehicle at
Shoreline Motel.
1:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of a handbag
that contained cash and credit cards.
3:12 p.m., Hovland: Report of trespassers on Lost
Lake Road.
7:19 p.m., Schroeder: Report of a suspicious-looking
couple at Temperance River State Park.
7:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from First Avenue
East just found a double bike rack in his yard.
10:51 p.m., Grand Portage: Deer struck by a vehicle
near Mount Rose church.
Saturday, Sept. 9
2:39 a.m., Grand Marais: Assault reported.
10:16 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about vehicles
speeding through the Rec Park, where kids are biking.
4:57 p.m., Grand Marais: A vial of white powder was
found on the floor at Arrowhead Pharmacy.
7:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a nuisance
black bear at Trail’s End Campground.
8:04 p.m., Grand Marais: A dog was hanging around
11th Avenue West-West Second Street. It has a blue
collar but no tags.
9:54 p.m., Lutsen: Traffic citation issued.
Sunday, Sept. 10
2:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Harassment reported.
2:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there are two
dogs in a vehicle parked on Wisconsin Street, and
they appear to be in distress.
3:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
3:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
4:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Two male dogs were
dumped at the Harbor Inn. They had no collars or
tags.
6:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic disturbance on
Third Avenue East.
7:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said some people
were harassing the animals at Putt N Pets.
