1:04 a.m., Grand Marais: Loud party
complaint from East Bay Suites.
7:47 a.m., Lutsen: Report of a vehicle
on its roof off Ski Hill Road.
1:07 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said
he lost some paperwork that was in
his vehicle. It may have blown out the
window.
1:46 p.m., Schroeder: Trespassing
reported at Tac Harbor.
3:06 p.m., Grand Portage:
Harassment reported.
5:15 p.m., Grand Marais: A wallet
was found at the post office and
taken to the Law Enforcement
Center.
6:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Reported
theft of a long track groomer from
Bally Creek Road.
8:10 p.m., Tofte: A drill was found on
Highway 61 between Bluefin Bay and
the Market.
9:24 p.m., Lutsen: A man was
refusing to leave the pool at Caribou
Highlands.
9:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Power
outage in Creechville.
11:59 p.m., Hovland: Power outage
on East Highway 61; it’s the third
time this month.
Tuesday, July 11
6:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of
loose horses on County Road 7.
8:32 a.m., Grand Marais: A tow truck
was needed to pull a vehicle that was
stuck on the beach west of Lindskog
Road.
8:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller
from Java Moose said a white fluffy
dog has been in a parked car with
the windows rolled up for about 30
minutes.
10:36 a.m., Grand Marais: Accident
near Cascade River, no injuries
reported.
11:10 a.m., Tofte: Caller said there
are people harvesting lupines along
the roadway near Leveaux Ridge,
and they may be on private property.
They claimed it’s their own property,
but it seemed suspicious.
1:22 p.m., Grand Portage: Financial
exploitation reported.
3:18 p.m., Grand Marais: A dump
truck dropped some asphalt on the
Gunflint Trail.
9:14 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic
citation issued.
9:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller
said there is an injured sea gull near
Buck’s Hardware and people won’t
leave it alone. The caller will stand by
to protect the bird.
Wednesday, July 12
8:05 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle
tampering reported on Ward Lake
Road.
10:15 a.m., Grand Marais: A wallet
was found at the donut shop.
11:49 a.m., Grand Marais: A limping
black dog was turned in at the Info
Center, where it will be held until the
owner comes by or calls.
1:03 p.m., Hovland: False residential
burglar alarm on Stonegate Road.
2:35 p.m., Grand Portage: A house on
Mile Creek Road was broken into.
3:20 p.m., Hovland: Report of a
disabled vehicle at mile marker 130
was referred to State Patrol.
Thursday, July 13
7:05 a.m., Grand Marais: Assault
reported near the Shoreline.
1:21 p.m., Grand Marais: A credit
card was found at the Rec Park.
2:22 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle drove into
the ditch.
4:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Gas driveoff from Super America.
5:23 p.m., Grand Marais: DWI arrest
was made following a motorcycle
accident on the Gunflint Trail.
Friday, July 14
7:21 a.m., Grand Marais: Arrest
made on a Cook County warrant.
9:07 a.m., Grand Marais: A child’s
backpack was lost somewhere near
the Magnetic Rock trailhead.
1:55 p.m., Grand Portage: A
deputy was requested to remove an
intoxicated person from a residence.
2:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Two guys
showed up at a residence to ask for
help jumping their vehicle, and one
of them had a pistol in his back
rear belt area. It was thought to be
suspicious.
3:46 p.m., Grand Marais: A child fell
down a ladder (about 7-8 feet) at
Cobblestone Cove.
9:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a
deer-car accident near mile marker

Saturday, July 15
12:05 a.m., Grand Portage: Customs
stopped a wrong-turn driver at
the border who had 33 grams of
marijuana and paraphernalia,
$114 Canadian cash and a medical
marijuana card.
12:31 p.m., Grand Marais: A
backpack containing a computer was
reported lost.
7:12 p.m., Schroeder: An iPad and
iPod were reported stolen from a
camper at Temperance River State
Park.
9:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller on
Overlook Drive heard shots fired.
9:55 p.m., Grand Portage: A deer was
struck by a vehicle at mile marker
145.
9:59 p.m., Schroeder: Noise
complaint about a group of campers
at Lamb’s Resort playing loud music
and setting off fireworks.
11:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller
from the Rec Park said there is a man
with a flashlight nosing around the
building by the dog pound, and he
appears to be on something.
Sunday, July 16
9:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious
items were found in a room at Aspen
Inn.
2:14 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller was
concerned about a greyhound in a
parked vehicle on Wisconsin Street
for over an hour.
5:46 p.m., Schroeder: A retread came
off a tire and was obstructing traffic
at mile marker 74.
7:58 p.m., Grand Marais: A cased
tactical rifle was found underneath a
bed on Croftville Road.
