person lying on a porch. The caller said
it seemed suspicious.
6:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Pick-up truck
rolled over on the Gunflint Trail.
11:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Computer
fraud reported.
1:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the
ditch at Gunflint Fire Hall 1.
3:17 p.m., Schroeder: Report of a tree
on the highway at mile marker 79,
blocking the westbound lane.
3:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Phone outage
on the Gunflint Trail.
3:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller
from East Wisconsin Street asked for
assistance; all her items and tent were
flying away.
4:11 p.m., Grand Marais: A large tree
fell on a pick-up truck at Sag Lake
landing.

Beach appeared to be searching for
thomsonite, and he wasn’t sure if it was

an expensive bike tire near the Poplar
Lake boat landing.
9:52 p.m., Tofte: Deputy called to evict
a drunk person from Bluefin Bay who
was making inappropriate comments
and refusing to leave.

Fifth Avenue West said her water has
been turned off three times recently,
and she’s not sure why.
11:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of
possible birch log theft on Firebox
Road.
2:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller’s dog
was missing from Second Avenue
West.
6:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Animal
Advocates was contacted about a loose
dog found at Gunflint Hills golf course.
7:41 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said
a 13-year-old has been driving around
the area in his grandmother’s vehicle.

of someone burning garbage near

10:24 a.m., Grand Marais: Theft of
two tires reported from Beargrease
Crossing. They were for sale and
padlocked near the highway, but now
they’re gone.
10:46 a.m., Grand Marais: A passport
and iPhone were found on a portage
near Cross River.
1:25 p.m., Schroeder: Caller said a semi
has pulled over on the highway near
Birchwood Lane, and is blocking half
of the northbound lane and creating a
hazard.
1:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of
a van pulled over at mile marker 101
with front end damage.
2:07 p.m., Grand Marais: A trailer
parked on Eliasen Mill Road was run
into.
4:28 p.m., Grand Marais: An
abandoned pull-behind trailer was
removed from Birchwood Apartments.
6:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller was
concerned about a dog left in a parked
vehicle on Wisconsin Street, with the
windows down only a very small crack.
10:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Loud music
complaint from the Rec Park.
11:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy
assisted State Patrol with a traffic stop
at Fall River-Highway 61.
Saturday, June 17
2:06 a.m., Schroeder: Trespassing
complaint regarding three ATVs on
property near Sugar Loaf Road.
2:37 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from
Croftville Road said he could hear two
male voices yelling at each other for the
past couple hours.
12:33 p.m., Grand Portage: Theft
reported from the Community Center.
1:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of
hot-rodding and rowdy behavior at a
party on Devil Track Road.
1:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic
citation issued.
5:14 p.m., Grand Marais: A young girl
was lost at the Rec Park and couldn’t
find her parents.
5:24 p.m., Grand Marais: A car parked
in the lot near Stone Harbor was hit.
7:10 p.m., Grand Portage: A $600
check was found at the Community
Center, and a deputy was requested to
come pick it up.
11:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said
two people were looking in the window
at Arrowhead Pharmacy, and are now
heading up the hill.

on Third Avenue West.
8:08 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of
water on the roof at Dairy Queen
spraying straight up into the air.
Possible air conditioner issues?
12:38 p.m., Grand Marais: A chocolate
lab took off from West Fourth Street
about an hour ago.
5:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from
Second Avenue West said her two dogs
got loose and ran off.
9:25 p.m., Grand Portage: Complaint
about a vehicle with a loud muffler on
Townsite and Upper roads.
