7:28 p.m., Schroeder: Report of a deer on the highway at
mile marker 72.
Tuesday, June 6
11:42 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy assistance was requested
at mile marker 140, where a truck had its hazards on.
1:11 p.m., Grand Portage: Two-vehicle accident occurred in
the parking lot at the lodge.
1:12 p.m., Schroeder: False fire alarm at Temperance
Landing.
1:40 p.m., Tofte: Report that the highway appears to be
washing out near the culvert at Tofte General Store.
4:02 p.m., Grand Marais: A male English setter ran off from
Tenth Avenue West.
5:42 p.m., Lutsen: Traffic citation issued.
7:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint received about the
neighbor’s dogs.
9:26 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller from Eliza Road could see a
large fire across the street.
9:31 p.m., Lutsen: Report of an injured owl on South
Caribou Drive.
Wednesday, June 7
9:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage reported on Devil
Track Road.
12:14 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he just backed into a
parked motorcycle near the donut shop.
1:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a golden Lab has been
left in a car parked near Midway.
2:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
4:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted a motorist at the
Rock Cut who lost some exhaust parts.
5:07 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
6:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a loud pick-up truck
just raced out of the Rec Park and turned west on the
highway.
6:18 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of kids on the roof of the
gazebo at the Community Center.
9:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle and killed
on the highway at mile marker 103.
11:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic disturbance at
Birchwood Apartments.
Thursday, June 8
8:16 a.m., Grand Marais: Theft of a canoe rack from a vehicle
left at Poplar Lake public landing.
10:16 a.m., Lutsen: Traffic citation issued.
11:18 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Trout Lake Road
asked that the fire department come out to check on his CO2
detectors, which were going off.
11:35 a.m., Grand Marais: A husky was picked up on the
highway near the Home Center.
5:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on Golf Course
Road.
5:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said it appears that the pipes
in the men’s room at the City Hall rest room are broken and
water is running all over.
6:12 p.m., Grand Marais: A debit card was left in the ATM
at the credit union, and turned in at the Law Enforcement
Center.
6:27 p.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle was backed into at the
Rec Park.
10:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a suspicious
person in her apartment building taking pictures of children.
Friday, June 9
4:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
11:30 a.m., Grand Marais: Scam phone call reported.
2:06 p.m., Grand Marais: A bicycle that was left near the
co-op was missing, possibly stolen.
2:58 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said a party must have done
some drugs – he’s acting weird.
9:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a missing person on
Grandpa Lake.
11:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Open container violation
reported at Grandma Ray’s.
Saturday, June 10
3:34 a.m., Lutsen: Vehicle hit the guard rail near the Poplar
River sign at Lutsen Resort.
7:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller possibly heard a 12-gauge
shotgun blast two blocks north of the Rec Park.
8:20 a.m., Grand Marais: A parked vehicle was blocking the
roped-off set-up area in the Senior Center lot.
8:22 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of large clumps of tar
spilled on both sides of the Gunflint Trail at Devil Track
Road.
9:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost dog at Murmur
Creek.
1:48 p.m., Lutsen: Harassment reported.
4:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Moose Ridge said
there is a tree on the power line, but they still have power.
8:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said his vehicle is parked in
front of the library, and his keys are lost.
8:34 p.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle parked at Trailside
Cabins was backed into, causing slight damage.
10:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a tree down across and
blocking Trout Lake Road at Kadunce River.
11:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a juvenile out past
curfew.
11:54 p.m., Grand Marais: A party of five people was unable
to gain entry into their hotel.
Sunday, June 11
11:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Dog complaint from the Rec Park.
12:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported seeing pick-ups
containing 6- to 8-inch birch trees at County Roads 14/60.
3:33 p.m., Lutsen: Report that a vehicle with four occupants
ran off the road and struck a power pole at Cathedral of the
Pines.
4:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a white dog wandering
the Point parking lot.
