Monday, May 8
2:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made for domestic
abuse.
7:08 a.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made for domestic
assault.
9:30 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy called to Oshki
Ogimaag school, where a student was reportedly
hitting and kicking staff.
9:36 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost golden
retriever in the area of County Roads 7 and 44.
9:56 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a donkey standing
on the shoulder of County Road 7.
1:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported
at the storage units on West Highway 61.
3:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy spoke with a
juvenile who was smoking a cigarette outside the
library.
11:47 p.m., Schroeder: Three citations issued for
trespassing on the west end of the docks at Cliffs.
Tuesday, May 9
10:11 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a pick-up was
hot-rodding, and just went through the four-way stop
on Wisconsin Street.
10:14 a.m., Schroeder: Report of a suspicious vehicle
with a sign on it at Temperance River State Park.
11:09 a.m., Lutsen: Caller received a threat via instant
message.
11:47 a.m., Grand Portage: A 5-year-old fell off the
monkey bars and possibly has a broken arm.
12:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made on a Cook
County warrant.
3:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint regarding
a gray van parked on County Road 7 at Birchwood
Apartments.
3:43 p.m., Grand Marais: A car went through the
crossing guard at the high school.
Wednesday, May 10
8:03 a.m., Grand Marais: School patrol.
4:19 p.m., Grand Marais: A wallet was found on Ball
Club Road and turned in at the Law Enforcement
Center.
6:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Disturbance reported on
Third Avenue West.
Thursday, May 11
5:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle at
County Roads 7 and 48.
6:48 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Red Cliff Road
said her husband has been gone for two hours.
7:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from First Avenue
East said a car rolled into his yard and took out a
neighbor’s tree.
1:02 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated in a
DARE program.
4:08 p.m., Hovland: Deputy assisted a motorist on the
Arrowhead Trail who had a broken-down vehicle.
Friday, May 12
4:33 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on County
Roads 6 and 7.
5:01 a.m., Grand Portage: False burglar alarm on
Stevens Road.
5:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a dead deer in the
middle of the eastbound lane at mile marker 96.
11:03 a.m., Grand Portage: Possible financial
exploitation reported.
11:22 a.m., Grand Marais: A child who was left
unattended walked away from the daycare at the
YMCA.
11:27 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
11:38 a.m., Grand Portage: Arrest made for drug
possession after Customs stopped two parties who
made a wrong turn.
12:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Household trash was found
in a construction Dumpster on Third Avenue West.
2:52 p.m., Tofte: Report of a dog bite that occurred on
April 29.
5:36 p.m., Schroeder: Report of trespassing at
Minnesota Power’s east gate.
Saturday, May 13
3:06 p.m., Schroeder: Report of a small grass fire near
Temperance Landing.
3:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
6:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted State Patrol.
11:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a horse running
down County Road 7.
Sunday, May 14
9:03 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a small dog
hanging around Fourth Avenue East.
10:08 a.m., Tofte: Carbon monoxide alarm activated.
10:31 a.m., Grand Marais: A dog was found near
Devil Track River and brought in to the Law
Enforcement Center.
11:05 a.m., Grand Marais: Broadband long distance
service was down.
12:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity at Pine
Mountain Court.
4:34 p.m., Grand Marais: A credit card was found in
front of a store and turned in at the Law Enforcement
Center.
