3:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said the green light
for westbound Highway 61 is out.
7:59 p.m., Schroeder: A disabled vehicle was left at
mile marker 76.
8:42 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy spoke with the
operator of construction equipment on the side of the
road.
8:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck and killed by a
vehicle on West Fifth Street.
11:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical assistance was
requested on County Road 60, where a truck was
running with a person in it.

4:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a dead deer on the
highway at mile marker 103.
2:09 p.m., Grand Portage: The C-store reported that a
packet of scratch-off tickets was missing.
5:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a suspicious
vehicle in the gravel pit north of the highway at mile
marker 103.
Wednesday, April 19
6:50 a.m., Tofte: Caller said a vehicle was going over
the center line, and has now pulled off at Bluefin Bay.
7:56 a.m., Grand Marais: School patrol.
8:54 a.m., Grand Marais: A kindergartener walked
away from the school about five minutes ago.
3:16 p.m., Lutsen: Reported theft from Arrowhead
Electric.
5:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said an unwanted
person would not get out of his vehicle.
9:41 p.m., Grand Marais: A small pit bull was found
sitting at the caller’s front door.
10:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
10:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
Thursday, April 20
11:12 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a vehicle
headed eastbound from town was being driven by an
unlicensed driver.
9:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called to remove an
unwanted person from a residence.

2:04 a.m., Grand Portage: Suspicious activity reported
on Store Road.
6:25 a.m., Schroeder: Reports of icy bridges were
referred to MnDOT.
8:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Trespassing reported at
Birchwood Apartments.
8:54 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy removed a tree from
the Gunflint Trail.
1:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated in a
DARE program.
3:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of items from
a storage shed on West Second Street.
5:03 p.m., Grand Portage: Business scam reported.

12:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from the Shoreline
Motel believes someone is yelling “help!” and may be
out in the water.

1:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of wood from
a wood pile on Devil Track Road.
5:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost wallet.
8:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on Devil
Track Road.
11:54 p.m., Hovland: Report of a deer-vehicle accident
on the highway.
Sunday, April 23
1:04 a.m., Grand Marais: An electric line behind St.
John’s Church was arcing.
9:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
10:56 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
11:21 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller heard what sounded
like automatic gunfire, on and off for about four
hours, to the west of Pine Mountain Court.
11:27 a.m., Lutsen: Caller said a person who has been
following/stalking her has showed up at her work
again.
3:00 p.m., Lutsen: Traffic citation issued.
5:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said kids may have
barricaded another kid in the Port-A-Potty at the
Community Center.
