Monday, April 3
7:24 a.m., Lutsen: Deputy participated in Safe Routes
to School.
1:38 p.m., Lutsen: One of the snowcats at Lutsen
ski hill was on fire, creating a lot of black smoke.
However, no response was needed.
3:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy conducted speed
checks near the school zone.
5:33 p.m., Grand Portage: Suspicious activity
reported.
5:45 p.m., Grand Portage: False security alarm at the
Health Services building.
6:55 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of underage
drinking.

Tuesday, April 4
7:28 a.m., Lutsen: Safe Routes to School.
10:58 a.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle parked in the lot
at Johnson’s Foods was backed into.
11:07 a.m., Grand Marais: A dog that was picked
up on the highway was brought in to the Law
Enforcement Center.
5:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller wanted to know the
condition of Old Ski Hill Road.

Wednesday, April 5
3:34 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a bunch of people
going through a van at GoFer Trailer Court.
9:17 a.m., Grand Portage: Customs requested a deputy
at the border to cite a wrong-turn driver with 15
grams of marijuana.
12:42 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic altercation
reported.
5:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there are two
abandoned children’s bikes by the Coast Guard dock.
It is unknown if the kids are in the area.
5:40 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic assault reported.
6:19 p.m, Grand Marais: Deputy assisted State Patrol
with a driving complaint involving a white camper
van.
9:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Second Avenue
East said there were a couple vehicles parked down
the street that seemed somewhat suspicious.
10:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from an East
Highway 61 residence reported his dog missing.

Thursday, April 6
9:00 a.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
11:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
3:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic abuse reported.
4:44 p.m., Grand Portage: Child protection
investigation.

Friday, April 7
2:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested at the
school after a party was hit.
5:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a possible water
main break on Fourth Avenue East.
7:43 p.m., Hovland: Report that the culvert on Irish
Creek Road washed out, and the road is not passable.
11:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible criminal sexual
conduct investigation.

Saturday, April 8
10:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle at
mile marker 121.
1:58 p.m., Schroeder: A garage on Cramer Road was
broken into.
4:14 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lot of vehicles
parked east of Devil Track Lake, and snowmobiles
water skipping on the lake.
8:41 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
9:51 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.

Sunday, April 9
1:41 a.m., Lutsen: A motorist was warned for having
an expired driver’s license.
2:17 a.m., Lutsen: Noise complaint regarding a guest
at Eagle Ridge.
2:54 a.m., Lutsen: Caller from Eagle Ridge said
there are two juveniles walking around, and it seems
suspicious.
11:14 a.m., Grand Marais: A business sign on Mort
Meadows Drive was reported missing.
11:16 a.m., Grand Marais: Two dogs were picked up
and returned to their owner.
12:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
1:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
4:25 p.m., Lutsen: Report of a suspicious vehicle
parked on Ski Hill Road-Highway 61.
