Routes to School.
11:47 a.m., Grand Marais: An injured deer in the
ditch between mile markers 98 and 99 needed to be
dispatched.
12:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Criminal sexual conduct case
reported.
2:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller on County Road 44 had
five horses in her yard.
4:28 p.m., Hovland: Deputy assisted a motorist whose
trailer blew a tire.
5:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on South Shore
Drive.
7:38 p.m., Schroeder: False fire alarm at Temperance
Landing.
Tuesday, March 21
1:39 a.m., Lutsen: Caribou Highlands reported that
a drunk person was causing problems. However, the
person left before a deputy arrived.
5:56 a.m., Hovland: Report of a vehicle off the highway
and into the ditch. No injuries reported.
7:00 a.m., Hovland: Report of a dead deer in the lane of
traffic.
10:31 a.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
12:56 p.m., Lutsen: Lutsen Resort reported damage to
one of the rooms.
2:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible trespassing/suspicious
activity reported.
5:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he got a slightly
disturbing phone call from a neighbor.
Wednesday, March 22
7:45 a.m., Schroeder: Caller said there is a small deer on
the lake side of the highway that needs to be dispatched.
9:07 a.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of a wallet from
a vehicle parked near the Higher Ed building.
11:29 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
Thursday, March 23
2:22 a.m., Grand Marais: A female caller said she feels
unsafe.
9:14 a.m., Lutsen: Two-car accident on Peninsula Point
Trail, no injuries reported.
11:00 a.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
lift operator who was having an allergic reaction.
11:05 a.m., Grand Marais: Computer fraud reported.
1:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that the stoplight was
partially out. Referred to the city’s streets department.
4:28 p.m., Hovland: A deer was struck by a vehicle on
the highway.
6:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a vehicle
doing donuts at the Point.
Friday, March 24
1:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there are two dogs
running down West Fifth Street. They appear to be
huskies wearing collars.
3:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported
after the caller from Gunflint Trail saw a man pull into
her driveway, get into her truck, and when she yelled he
ran back into his own vehicle and drove off.
3:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made on an outstanding
Cook County warrant.
4:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle at mile
marker 98, causing minor damage to the vehicle.
6:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Two vehicles were stopped near
mile marker 101 with their hazards on. Unknown what
the problem was.
10:54 p.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made for domestic
assault.
10:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made on an
outstanding Cook County warrant.
Saturday, March 25
6:04 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller to 911 sounded
surprised when a dispatcher answered and said there is
no emergency.
1:33 p.m., Lutsen: Report of a tire in the eastbound lane
near mile marker 91.
2:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Attempted telephone fraud
reported.
2:11 p.m., Grand Marais: A debit card was found and
turned in at the Law Enforcement Center.
6:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a possible underage
drinking party.
11:35 p.m., Grand Portage: A deputy assisted Customs at
the border with a driver who was possibly intoxicated.
11:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
Sunday, March 26
12:29 a.m., Grand Portage: Loud music complaint from
Hollow Rock Resort.
8:35 p.m., Lutsen: Possible chimney fire reported at
Caribou Highlands Lodge.
