Monday, March 13
7:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated in Safe
Routes to School.
10:06 a.m., Lutsen: Driver reported damage to his
vehicle that occurred the previous day.
12:16 p.m., Grand Marais: School bus stop arm
violation reported on Highway 61, referred to State
Patrol.
1:33 p.m., Hovland: Domestic assault reported.
3:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Safe Routes to School.
Tuesday, March 14
7:54 a.m., Grand Marais: Safe Routes to School.
8:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Gofer Trailer
Court said a black dog with a pink collar attacked her
bumper this morning, and tried to jump into the car.
5:01 p.m., Lutsen: Possible trespassing reported.
6:50 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin Bay.
Wednesday, March 15
12:12 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is an
intoxicated man stumbling around outside the Grand
Marais State Bank.
8:33 p.m., Schroeder: Terroristic threats reported.
Thursday, March 16
8:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated in a
DARE program.
11:21 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
11:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
Friday, March 17
1:08 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller struck a deer on the
highway, and it needs to be dispatched.
7:40 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller complained that Ski
Hill Road has not been plowed yet.
8:07 a.m., Grand Marais: A black pick-up truck
swerved and ran off the road, going through a
wooden fence and into the woods near Trailside
Cabins.
8:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Crossing guard at the school
reported that a student was fish-tailing and exhibition
driving.
8:37 a.m., Grand Marais: Domestic assault reported.
9:33 a.m., Grand Marais: Fire department responded
to a chimney fire near Holiday.
12:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said trucks are
parked in the middle of County Road 7 in white-out
conditions.
1:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated in a
DARE program.
2:08 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic assault arrest
made.
6:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made on a Cook
County warrant.
11:25 p.m., Lutsen: Wallet theft reported at Papa
Charlie’s. The wallet was found on the floor.
Saturday, March 18
12:00 a.m., Tofte: Residential fire alarm on Tofte
Homestead Drive proved to be false.
12:12 a.m., Tofte: Loud music complaint.
8:38 a.m., Hovland: False motion detector alarm on
Chicago Bay Road.
9:15 a.m., Hovland: A tree was down on the highway
near North Road.
12:57 p.m., Grand Marais: A road sign at County
Roads 7 and 48 was down and in the ditch.
1:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost phone reported.
Sunday, March 19
12:48 a.m., Tofte: Assault reported.
7:26 a.m., Schroeder: A deer was struck by a vehicle
near the power plant.
11:34 a.m., Lutsen: Deer was struck by an RV at
Highway 61-Mink Ranch Road. A deputy was called
to dispatch the injured deer.
11:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller on County Road 60
was concerned about somebody burning brush in the
woods.
1:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Illegal dumping at Great
Expectations School.
1:25 p.m., Tofte: A deer was struck on the highway
near Bluefin Bay.
2:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Illegal dumping reported at
the Community Center.
2:02 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for
a man with a head injury.
6:14 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of a suicide at
Customs.
