Friday, Dec. 2
2:48 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller said somebody just came to
his door and demanded money that was owed, but he doesn’t
owe him anything.
7:28 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy requested to remove
unwanted persons from the premises.
7:49 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint about a semi left
near Birchwood Apartments.
10:09 a.m., Grand Portage: Two arrests made for burglary.
11:54 a.m., Grand Marais: A homeless woman came into the
Senior Center for a cup of coffee and paid with a dollar bill that
was marked up with ink.
12:38 p.m., Grand Marais: Trespassing reported.
5:33 p.m., Grand Marais: A horse and donkey were loose on
County Road 7-Fall River Road.
8:24 p.m., Grand Marais: A 7-year-old boy slammed a shotgun
shell on a tack and it exploded, causing facial wounds. He was
treated at the hospital.
9:26 p.m., Tofte: A reckless driving complaint was transferred
to State Patrol.
10:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller observed a man place a pit
bull in the entryway at Aspen Lodge and leave. He is not a
guest there, and the caller is concerned for the safety of guests
coming and going.

Saturday, Dec. 3
1:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible burglary reported after a
front door was found to be damaged.
5:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
6:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller picked up a stray dog that was
in traffic near mile marker 69, and wasn’t sure where to take it.

Sunday, Dec. 4
4:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of very icy conditions on the
Gunflint Trail-Devil Track Road, and on Highway 61 from
Grand Marais to Grand Portage.
8:25 a.m., Tofte: Deputy assisted State Patrol.
10:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch off the Gunflint
Trail at Schoolhouse Road. No injuries reported.
4:22 p.m., Lutsen: Report of hit-and-run damage to a vehicle
parked at Caribou Highlands.
11:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.

Monday, Dec. 5
7:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Safe Routes to School.
8:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic complaint near Great
Expectations regarding speeding and a derogatory comment.
10:23 a.m., Schroeder: Trespassing complaint regarding a
suspicious vehicle on a private road.
1:05 p.m., Grand Marais: A dog that was running around in
traffic was brought in to the Law Enforcement Center.
2:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported a woman at the post
office who had a strong odor of alcohol.
8:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Hot-rodding reported on First
Avenue East, where a pick-up was driving fast and ran the stop
sign at Broadway.
9:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck on the highway.

Tuesday, Dec. 6
7:34 a.m., Grand Marais: Safe Routes to School.
9:02 a.m., Grand Marais: The Happy Times bus hit and
damaged the canopy at Holiday.
11:05 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle off the highway and into a
tree. Referred to State Patrol.
11:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Courthouse security.
12:08 p.m., Grand Marais: A men’s jacket that was left in a
flower pot in front of City Hall was dropped off at the Law
Enforcement Center.
1:07 p.m., Grand Marais: DARE program at Great
Expectations.
2:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle damage reported.

Wednesday, Dec. 7
1:43 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a drunk and unruly man
starting fights at Grandma Ray’s.
4:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Old Shore Road was
locked out of her house.
7:23 a.m., Lutsen: False fire alarm.
7:53 a.m., Grand Marais: School patrol.
1:59 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
2:38 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle near mile
marker 119.
3:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Fender-bender at the hospital parking
lot.
7:53 p.m., Lutsen: Investment fraud reported.
11:41 p.m., Hovland: Suspicious activity reported on Irish
Creek Road.

Thursday, Dec. 8
7:47 a.m., Grand Portage: School patrol.
8:01 a.m., Grand Marais: School patrol.
2:08 p.m., Lutsen: Traffic citation issued.
2:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle off the Gunflint Trail and into
the ditch near Elbow Creek.
3:15 p.m., Tofte: Possible theft of an antique snake bracelet
reported. The bracelet is missing.
6:32 p.m., Schroeder: Phone threats reported.
10:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made on an outstanding
Wadena County warrant.

Friday, Dec. 9
10:24 a.m., Grand Marais: Threats reported.
3:23 p.m., Tofte: Report of a vehicle that has been parked
on the side of the highway since early morning. State Patrol
notified.
8:16 p.m., Grand Portage: Trespassing reported.

Saturday, Dec. 10
12:24 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
10:10 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
2:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
6:37 p.m., Lutsen: Dead deer in the southbound lane of the
highway near mile marker 93.
6:54 p.m., Grand Marais: Car in the ditch off Cascade River
Road.
11:16 p.m., Grand Marais: False security alarm at the library.

Sunday, Dec. 11
1:30 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
3:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible drug possession reported.
6:09 p.m., Grand Portage: False security alarm.
10:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Assault reported.
11:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an unoccupied vehicle in
the ditch off South Shore Drive.
