Thursday, Nov. 24
7:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
8:32 a.m., Grand Portage: Report of a large balsam on the
power line on Upper Road.
9:08 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle on the
highway.
1:25 p.m., Grand Marais: A white husky was running loose
near GoFer Cabins.
3:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Gunflint Trail said his
dog has been missing for about three hours.
3:23 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
4:12 p.m., Grand Marais: A small black dog was running loose
on Paradise Beach.
5:56 p.m., Grand Marais: A wandering dog was picked up near
Cascade State Park.
6:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Disturbance (shouting) reported at
Birchwood Apartments.
10:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity at the
Community Center reported.
Friday, Nov. 25
1:03 a.m., Grand Marais: Possible domestic altercation at Pine
Mountain Court.
10:05 a.m., Hovland: Deer struck by a vehicle on the
Arrowhead Trail.
10:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of very icy conditions on
County Roads 14 and 60.
11:10 a.m., Grand Portage: A counterfeit $20 bill was received
at the lodge.
1:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Two-vehicle accident at Victory Lane-
Caspers Hill.
2:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller wanted to know what to do
about all the deer parts left in the garage. It is starting to stink
in there.
5:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle at Highway
61-Durfee Creek.
5:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputies conducted traffic control for
the parade.
8:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
10:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a dog that has
been in the middle of County Road 7 frequently during the last
couple weeks.
11:43 p.m., Lutsen: Caller said he is missing his wife, who is
intoxicated. She was kicked out of Papa Charlie’s about an hour
and a half ago.
Saturday, Nov. 26
9:20 a.m., Hovland: Report of a strong propane smell on
Stonegate Road.
10:44 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
3:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a tree on a power line on
Old Shore Road.
9:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy checked on suspicious
activity behind Sven & Ole’s.
Sunday, Nov. 27
11:45 a.m., Schroeder: Vehicle accident near mile marker 71,
no injuries reported.
1:02 p.m., Grand Marais: A boat trailer with a flat tire was
parked in the runaway truck ramp near the water tower.
2:12 p.m., Lutsen: Complaint regarding an illegally parked
vehicle on Caribou Trail.
6:24 p.m., Lutsen: Suspicious activity reported at Lutsen Resort.
Monday, Nov. 28
7:28 a.m., Lutsen: Deputy participated in Safe Routes to School.
8:02 a.m., Grand Marais: False security alarm at Sven & Ole’s.
9:28 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a dead deer in the
westbound lane of the highway.
10:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Lost wallet.
1:25 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said kids have stolen things
out of the garden and gazebo on Townsite Road, including the
table.
4:08 p.m., Grand Marais: A purse was left behind at Dockside.
4:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said his child got intoxicated at
a party, and wanted the host warned and the parties stopped.
5:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a ladder in the roadway at
mile marker 96.
6:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from West Fifth Street said
someone is yelling and kicking on the door.
10:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that the municipal parking
lot and the road alongside the co-op are flooded again.
Tuesday, Nov. 29
7:52 a.m., Grand Marais: Safe Routes to School.
8:37 a.m., Grand Marais: False fire alarm at the courthouse.
8:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Harassment reported.
10:53 a.m., Hovland: Report of a culvert on Arrowhead Trail
washing out, causing the road to fall in.
11:12 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a large tree over County
Road 14.
12:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated in DARE at
Great Expectations.
3:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said his ex-girlfriend broke his
TV.
4:31 p.m., Tofte: Break-in of a storage unit reported.
Wednesday, Nov. 30
4:12 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller from the casino said her
boyfriend took off with her cell phone, and wanted a deputy to
go get it back.
5:38 a.m., Grand Portage: Report that water in a creek along
Highway 61 was about to wash up over the roadway.
7:46 a.m., Grand Portage: School patrol.
11:10 a.m., Grand Portage: Report of about 6 inches of water
on Mineral Center Road.
11:48 a.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
12:32 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
3:19 p.m., Grand Portage: Two persons were arrested on St.
Louis County warrants, and posted bail.
5:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Motorist hit a moose at Gunflint
Trail-East Bearskin Road, but there was no vehicle damage and
the moose ran off.
6:51 p.m., Grand Marais: A black-and-white beagle ran off
from West Second Street.
Thursday, Dec. 1
7:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made for domestic assault.
7:45 a.m., Grand Portage: School patrol.
11:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a loose horse on County
Road 44.
4:02 p.m., Lutsen: Report of a rock in the westbound lane of the
highway near mile marker 87.
5:17 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller was gone for a week, and
when he returned home his clothes and shoes are missing.
6:34 p.m., Tofte: Report of a dead dog in the westbound lane of
the highway near mile marker 85.
6:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
8:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller noticed a suspicious vehicle
driving around the neighborhood.
