unwanted person from a West Second Street residence.
7:34 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated in Safe
Routes to School.
9:26 a.m., Grand Marais: False alarm set off by
construction workers at East Bay Suites.
1:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Disturbance reported on Caspers
Hill Road.
2:28 p.m., Hovland: Missing person reported on Pine Lake.
4:05 p.m., Lutsen: Suspicious activity/trespassing reported
on Billie’s Trail.
5:13 p.m., Grand Marais: False smoke alarm on First
Avenue East.
5:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an erratic driver on
Highway 61.
8:50 p.m., Hovland: A white shepherd, “Odie,” ran off from
a North Road residence.
10:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on County Road
44.
10:52 p.m., Tofte: Report of a tree on the highway at mile
marker 86.
11:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Criminal sexual conduct
investigation.
Tuesday, Nov. 8
6:21 a.m., Hovland: Caller on Camp 20 Road reported
that people were deer hunting in the dark after she heard
a shot.
7:37 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated in Safe
Routes to School.
9:20 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested to remove
an unwanted person from a residence in Pine Mountain
Court.
1:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated in a DARE
program at Great Expectations School.
5:02 p.m., Lutsen: Report of a female with blond hair and
dressed all in black walking westbound on the lake side of
the highway near Arrowhead Electric.
6:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested to remove an
unwanted person from Grandma Ray’s.
8:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from East Highway 61 said
he believes someone is messing with his car.
Wednesday, Nov. 9
9:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a large moving
van blocking Devil Track Road.
10:38 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a 2-year-old is
missing from a daycare center.
10:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputies escorted the volleyball
team out of town.
5:17 p.m., Lutsen: Deer struck and killed by a vehicle near
the Sea Villas.
7:38 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
10:55 p.m., Grand Marais: A large gray and black cat was
found at Aspen Lodge, and they can’t keep it there.
11:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a missing golden
retriever at Cascade Bluffs.
Thursday, Nov. 10
7:40 a.m., Grand Portage and Grand Marais: Deputies
assisted with school zone patrol.
11:34 a.m., Grand Portage: Customs arrested a man who
had 21 morphine pills (not prescribed) in his vehicle.
4:08 p.m., Lutsen: Multiple gunshots heard on Rollins
Creek Road.
4:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Illegal garbage dumping
discovered off Trout Lake Road.
4:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Tree down and creating a hazard
on Ball Club Road.
5:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
9:20 p.m., Grand Marais: A woman who suffered multiple
animal bites was treated at the hospital.
9:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller on Third Avenue West
said someone rang the doorbell and asked for someone
who did not live there.
9:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from GunFlint Tavern said
someone was outside knocking garbage cans over.
Friday, Nov. 11
7:01 a.m., Tofte: Deer struck by a vehicle near Cliff
Dweller.
8:48 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a pulp truck was
parked on the sidewalk near Birchwood Apartments.
4:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a tree about to fall on
the Gunflint Trail.
5:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said his neighbor cut
down two bushes and a tree, and dug up two clothesline
poles, that were on his (caller’s) property.
Saturday, Nov. 12
5:57 a.m., Lutsen: Power outage on Lodge Lane.
8:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Dog bite.
8:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Possible sewer line collapse
downtown.
10:37 a.m., Lutsen: Theft of a wood-burning stove
reported.
12:01 p.m., Grand Marais: The Ball Club Road pit pile was
on fire, and no one was around.
2:00 p.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle parked near GunFlint
Tavern was backed into.
6:05 p.m., Hovland: A deer was struck by a vehicle at
Arrowhead Trail-Highway 61.
Sunday, Nov. 13
12:53 a.m., Hovland: An alarm was going off on North
Road.
9:52 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about an idling semi
near Mangy Moose.
10:16 a.m., Tofte: Report of a white dog running onto the
highway near Bluefin Bay.
1:07 p.m., Grand Marais: A credit card was found near the
mini golf course.
6:49 p.m., Lutsen: Traffic citation issued.
