7:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Commercial burglary alarm on
West Highway 61. False alarm.
7:49 a.m., Hovland: Caller said there is a smashed-up
boat on shore near Reservation River Road.
9:49 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a large white
dog hanging around Great Expectations school.
3:34 p.m., Schroeder: Vehicle accident at Superior Ridge
Resort, referred to State Patrol.
4:24 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
11:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted a motorist at
mile marker 115.

2:27 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on County Road
44.
5:08 a.m., Hovland: Deputy assistance requested to
remove an unwanted person from a residence on
Arrowhead Trail.
10:46 a.m., Schroeder: Illegally parked vehicle blocking
the boat access at Baraga Cross Road.
11:26 a.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made on a Cook
County warrant.
1:48 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
2:40 p.m., Schroeder: Traffic citation issued.
4:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a pick-up in
the Legion parking lot with fake registration tabs on it.
Wednesday, Sept. 28
7:54 a.m., Lutsen: Report of a dead deer in the
northbound lane of the highway near mile marker 91.
9:34 a.m., Grand Marais: Trespassing complaint on
Greenwood Lake Road.
10:38 a.m., Lutsen: Report of an injured deer at Caribou
Trail-Highway 61.
3:10 p.m., Lutsen: Rescue requested for a 76-year-old
man about a half-mile from the top of the gondola at
Lutsen Mountains.
3:39 p.m., Grand Portage: Assault reported.
Thursday, Sept. 29
8:44 a.m., Grand Portage: A bunch of camping gear was
found at Fort Charlotte, all rolled up and neatly packed.
10:43 a.m., Tofte: Assistance requested for a lock-out at
Temperance River campground.
10:57 a.m., Hovland: A husky puppy went missing on
Irish Creek Road.
12:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Harassment reported.
1:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a dog in distress in a
locked car near Joynes.
4:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost cell phone at Kadunce
River wayside.
6:50 p.m., Lutsen: Deputy cleared road debris from the
highway.
11:52 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
Friday, Sept. 30
8:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Dump truck on fire at
Thoreson’s.
10:54 a.m., Grand Marais: Two-vehicle accident near
Cascade.
1:10 p.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle parked on Second
Avenue West was backed into.
2:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of a “Trucks
Hauling” sign near Timber Creek, and two signs that
said “State Land For Sale” on Devil’s Point Road.
2:45 p.m., Hovland: Caller said a van has been parked on
Otter Lake Road for at least two weeks now.
4:44 p.m., Grand Marais: A very skinny springer spaniel
was found near Trout Lake Resort.
6:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint on West
Fifth Street.
8:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from 11th Avenue West
saw some Chinese lanterns fly by, and one was pretty
low.

9:51 a.m., Tofte: Parking complaint.
10:40 a.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of a cell phone
and checkbook.
2:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an open phone access
box on Fifth Avenue West. Wires were visible.
4:12 p.m., Hovland: Caller wanted an illegally parked car
removed from his property.
5:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Some type of alarm was
sounding on Cascade Beach Road.
7:14 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of heavy, ongoing
gunfire on Bloomquist Mountain Road.
9:02 p.m., Lutsen: Caller wanted an unwanted person
removed.
9:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible drug use reported.

12:04 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a fight at the Rec
Park.
12:40 a.m., Grand Marais: Loud music complaint
regarding the GunFlint Tavern.
4:39 a.m., Grand Marais: DWI arrest.
4:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller heard four loud
explosions coming from the Taconite Harbor area.
6:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that two boys are in
the construction site at the hospital peeking through
windows.
9:49 p.m., Grand Portage: Power outage on Trolls Trail.
