Tuesday, Aug. 30
12:44 a.m., Grand Portage: Barking dog complaint.
5:39 a.m., Lutsen: Disturbance reported at Paradise Park Place,
caused by an intoxicated female.
8:09 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy responded to the stop light
to direct traffic while the lights were out during the scheduled
power outage.
10:34 a.m., Schroeder: Deputies and medical responders were
called to Temperance River State Park, where a women fell and
may have suffered a broken leg.
4:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about speeding logging
trucks on the Grade.
7:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was a suspicious
campfire behind Sawtooth Ridges.
11:42 p.m., Lutsen: Caller said he heard a crash, and then a car
horn, which is still blowing.
11:56 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of minors drinking and being
loud on Bay Estates Drive.

Wednesday, Aug. 31
1:56 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he can hear loud music
coming from a house on West Ninth Street, and also kids crying.
3:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage at Trout Lake Resort.
4:00 p.m., Grand Portage: Citation issued for driving after
revocation.
8:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Motorist was given contact info for
services to help with a vehicle lock-out at Judge Magney State
Park.

Thursday, Sept. 1
1:19 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin Bay.
6:17 a.m., Grand Portage: U.S. Customs stopped three men with
drugs on them.
9:26 a.m., Schroeder: A pistol in a holster was found on Cramer
Road.
10:33 a.m., Hovland: A couple left Naniboujou Lodge without
paying for rooms or meals.
10:33 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued for no proof of
insurance.
1:00 p.m., Tofte: Report of trash dumped at the end of
Springdale Road.
2:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation for no proof of
insurance and expired registration.
4:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Speeding citation issued.
6:19 p.m., Grand Portage: Speeding citation issued.
6:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from the campground said other
campers are letting their dogs off the leash, and it’s stirring up
other pets in the area.
7:26 p.m., Tofte: Caller said a bear cub is treed in his yard on
Music Row. State Patrol was notified.

Friday, Sept. 2
8:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer-truck accident on Devil Track
Road. The vehicle was disabled but there were no injuries.
9:26 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of an object floating in the
harbor near the lighthouse, possibly a kayak.
9:34 a.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued for no proof of insurance.
10:07 a.m., Lutsen: Reported theft of 500-600 pounds of copper
from Superior National Golf Course.
3:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Border Patrol passed on a threat of
blowing up a building.
4:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested at the Rec Park for a
vehicle-boat accident.
6:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Speeding citation issued.
7:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Lobby door alarm activation at
Cascade State Park.
8:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from the Gunflint Trail reported
that a man who seemed disoriented walked out of the woods
near their cabin and claimed he was with a group of hikers, but
he didn’t know where they were or where he was staying.
9:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Sydney’s said they had a
cute little brown dog, in case anyone is looking for it.
10:32 p.m., Grand Marais: A hiker at Cascade River State Park
said she hurt her leg and is unable to hike out.

Saturday, Sept. 3
12:08 a.m., Grand Marais: Citation issued for speeding.
12:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about the loud music
coming from GunFlint Tavern, past the allowed time.
4:12 a.m., Grand Portage: Domestic disturbance reported at the
marina.
9:48 a.m., Lutsen: Deer struck by a vehicle on the highway.
9:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a loose dog on Seventh
Avenue West.
10:20 a.m., Lutsen: Report of a lost red purse somewhere on Ski
Hill Road.
10:40 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin Bay set off by
burning food.
12:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost wallet somewhere
downtown sometime last night.
1:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from west of the Ski Hill Road
asked for directions for travel on a trail.
2:18 p.m., Grand Marais: Citation issued for driving after
revocation.
3:21 p.m., Tofte: Speeding citation issued.
10:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Loud music complaint.

Sunday, Sept. 4
12:11 a.m., Grand Marais: Loud music complaint.
8:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Cascade Lodge was locked
out of his car.
9:38 a.m., Grand Marais: A seven-foot banner at Harbor House
Grille that advertises seafood was broken off at the bottom of
the pole.
10:13 a.m., Grand Marais: A person camping at Tuscarora Lodge
passed away during the night.
3:39 p.m., Hovland: Suspicious vehicle at Spruce Point Road.
4:36 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said a local resident was
walking down Townsite Road with a person who looks
suspicious.
7:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Motorcyclist cited for speeding, no
proof of insurance and expired registration.
8:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assistance requested for a
disabled vehicle on Trout Lake Road.
8:58 p.m., Schroeder: Power outage on Schroeder Tote Road.
11:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested to remove
unwanted guests from a residence.
11:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of hit-and-run damage to a
vehicle parked on Creechville Road.
