1:17 p.m., Lutsen: Fireworks complaint from Evergreen Road.
1:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost credit card reported.
1:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of a cord of wood reported.
2:13 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of two dogs in a vehicle parked
near Harbor Inn with the windows rolled up.
3:58 p.m., Schroeder: Traffic citation issued.
9:48 p.m., Grand Portage: Loud party complaint on Townsite
Road.
9:58 p.m., Lutsen: Report of gunshots on White Birch Trail.

7:09 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a sheen of gasoline/fuel on
top of the water flowing down the road from Buck’s to the liquor
store.
8:01 a.m., Grand Marais: Possible structure fire. There was smoke
coming up from the basement of a residence on Eighth Avenue
West.
9:41 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin.
11:49 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
12:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said she thinks the stop/walk
signs confuse people into thinking they are stop signs.
12:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Fraud phone call reported.
6:48 p.m., Lutsen: Report of debris in the road near mile marker
93.
7:11 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
7:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
9:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle struck a deer on Highway 61.
10:43 p.m., Grand Marais: The caller found an injured skunk,
wrapped it in a towel and is looking for an emergency vet. He
was given the after-hours number of a vet in Duluth, but it’s not
known if he takes skunks.

12:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Croftville residents reported hearing a
large explosion, but a deputy was unable to find anything.
7:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint from Creechville Road about
a vehicle with a loud exhaust going up the Gunflint the last three
mornings at 5 a.m.
8:04 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin Bay.
9:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Damage to a generator reported.
10:30 a.m., Grand Marais: Three children who were reported
missing on the Caribou Rock Trail were found safe.
11:25 a.m., Grand Marais: A complaint was filed about a deputy’s
conduct.
12:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Two bikes were left behind Hughie’s
Tacos.
12:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Illegal dumping of garbage at Great
Expectations School reported.
12:55 p.m., Grand Marais: A black Scottie dog was running loose
near My Sister’s Place.
1:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint.
5:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint on the one-way
street near Buck’s. Vehicles were parking on both sides of the
road.

1:00 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said her son’s blue bag was stolen
near the boat launch at the Rec Park.
6:54 a.m., Grand Marais: Possible illegal camping in the Artist
Point parking lot.
11:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint at the bingo tent.
1:20 p.m., Grand Marais: A deputy spoke with a Wisconsin
couple about their unregistered canoe.
2:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a dog left in a hot vehicle at
Artist Point.
2:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of prescription meds from a room
at Harbor Inn.
3:46 p.m., Grand Marais: A vendor complained about kids riding
bikes through the vendor tent area.
5:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint at Artist Point.
6:26 p.m., Grand Marais: A purse was lost near Sydney’s.
7:12 p.m., Lutsen: ATV stop at Caribou Trail-Evergreen Road.

12:28 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called to an altercation at
Windigo between two female guests.
3:10 a.m., Grand Marais: Loud party complaint from the
campground.
4:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a small blue car down a kind
of steep ditch off South Shore Drive. It didn’t look occupied.
7:02 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he saw a wallet on the yellow
line on the Gunflint Trail.
8:54 a.m., Grand Marais: A dog wearing a shock collar that
was found running loose was brought to the Law Enforcement
Center.
10:07 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint at Johnson Heritage
Post.
11:12 a.m., Tofte: A silver minivan sped through the construction
area on the Sawbill Trail.
11:48 a.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of cash from a vehicle
parked at Voyageur Canoe Outfitters sometime between July 21
and 27.
12:04 p.m., Tofte: A parked vehicle was struck in Bluefin Bay’s
parking lot.
2:47 p.m., Grand Marais: A caller from Second Avenue West
reported that her cat ran off over a week ago.
3:22 p.m., Lutsen: Speeding complaint about vehicles traveling on
Peninsula Point Trail.
5:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a distressed dog in a hot van
parked near the historical museum.
7:31 p.m., Grand Portage: U.S. Customs held a woman wanted on
a Cook County warrant.
10:02 p.m., Grand Marais: A black dog was picked up at the golf
course.
