spaniel is just lying in the bathroom at the Laundromat.
8:02 a.m., Lutsen: Report of a damaged street sign at Hansen
Hjemsted/West Highway 61.
6:19 p.m., Schroeder: Traffic citation issued.
6:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
7:43 p.m., Lutsen: Traffic citation issued.
9:10 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
9:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a reckless driver at
and near the Community Center.
10:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Noise complaint about idling semi
trucks near Mangy Moose.
11:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Barking dog complaint on East Fifth
Street.
11:53 p.m., Grand Portage: False alarm at the national
monument.
Tuesday, July 26
1:10 a.m., Grand Marais: Barking dog complaint near Aspen
Lodge.
2:18 a.m., Grand Marais: Arrest for domestic assault and
disorderly conduct following an incident at the Rec Park
campground.
8:36 a.m., Lutsen: Two-vehicle accident at Caribou Trail-
Highway 61.
9:02 a.m., Grand Marais: Noise complaint about a dump truck
going up and down the Gunflint Trail near the water tower.
10:41 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller asked for information about
Class 2 ATVs.
12:01 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of five young men of Asian
descent wearing back packs, hiking up the High Falls trail,
possibly with a long gun.
12:36 p.m., Hovland: Fraud phone call reported.
8:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
9:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about vehicles racing
around and tearing up the Kimball Lake campground.
9:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
9:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller expressed concern for a dog
left in a closed car parked at the Aspen Lodge.
Wednesday, July 27
9:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of possible illegal dumping of
garbage near the Laundromat.
12:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
4:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said the driver of a red pick-up
drove into the lot at NAPA at a high rate of speed and nearly
hit his (caller’s) dog.
8:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of somebody burning trash
near Benny’s Collision.
9:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
9:54 p.m., Tofte: Domestic altercation at AmericInn.
Thursday, July 28
2:47 a.m., Hovland: Report of a woman sleeping in her vehicle
on the Chicago Bay Road.
7:26 a.m., Grand Marais: The Red Box at Holiday was hit by a
car.
7:51 a.m., Tofte: Report that a camper has been parked in the
lot at Surfside for a week.
8:24 a.m., Grand Marais: A green truck was parked in the
handicap spot at the clinic for three weeks.
9:06 a.m., Grand Portage: Graffiti found on Holy Rosary
Church and at the marina.
11:49 a.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of two Trump signs
from a South Shore Drive residence, valued at $30.
3:49 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
5:26 p.m., Grand Marais: A deputy was requested to watch the
“do not enter” exit at the Y for traffic entering the wrong way.
7:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Harassment reported.
9:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said some kids came to the
Aspen Inn and threatened guests.
Friday, July 29
8:21 a.m., Grand Portage: Complaint about continued speeding
on Upper Road when the Isle Royale boat comes in every day.
2:38 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a refrigerator
outside and it is not locked and the doors are not off. It is
directly across from a daycare.
4:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Harassment reported.
4:18 p.m., Grand Marais: A dog went missing from Pincushion
overlook.
6:22 p.m., Schroeder: Caller requested assistance with his son,
who may be high on meth and is uncooperative.
8:02 p.m., Hovland: Caller believes he is being stalked by
wolves on Camp 20 Road. He had a dog with him, and has seen
two wolves.
9:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Loud music complaint from Blue
Moose.
11:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about the loud music
coming from the rooftop at GunFlint Tavern.
Saturday, July 30
12:12 a.m., Grand Portage: Trespassing reported.
9:38 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a tomcat hanging
around the campground.
11:12 a.m., Grand Marais: A flip phone was found in the ditch
near Outpost Motel.
1:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller on North Broadway said his
tiger cat has been missing since last night.
2:47 p.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle was parked at a fire hydrant
on Artist Point.
5:21 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said he is having a hard time
and has a broken heart.
6:15 p.m., Grand Marais: The Forest Service was notified of a
fire on Fish Box Island.
9:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of salt and pepper
shakers from Angry Trout, valued at $100.
9:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported. Callers
from Cascade Beach Road said when they returned, someone
had been in their cabin. Nothing appears to be taken, but a pill
was left behind.
10:32 p.m., Schroeder: Caller was concerned about someone
lighting Chinese lanterns at Lamb’s Resort due to the fire
danger.
11:09 p.m., Tofte: Complaint about a loud and belligerent
person at Sawbill Lake campground.
11:24 p.m., Tofte: Power outage on Sawbill Trail.
Sunday, July 31
11:06 a.m., Grand Portage: A wallet was found at the C-store.
3:43 p.m., Schroeder: A broken-down trailer with canoes on it
was left overnight at Temperance Landing.
4:17 p.m., Hovland: Caller said he was snorkeling at Horseshoe
Bay and found a gun at the bottom of the lake. It was rusted
and very old.
5:25 p.m., Schroeder: Trespassing at Minnesota Power property
reported.
6:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
