Monday, June 27
6:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on Wildwood Lane.
10:12 a.m., Grand Marais: A person came into the Law
Enforcement Center to complain about the length of time
Highway 61 was closed for the Lutsen 99er.
11:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a vehicle has been parked
at Judge Magney State Park for over a month.
11:58 a.m., Tofte: Caller said her purse was stolen out of her
vehicle at Bluefin Bay.
2:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Phone fraud reported.
3:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called to assist. A customer
at Ben Franklin said her wallet was parked on and the plate
number needed to be run to contact the owner.
3:14 p.m., Grand Marais: A black and tan Gordon setter slipped
his collar on Second Avenue West and was missing.
3:46 p.m., Grand Marais: A husky broke his chain on 10th
Avenue West and was missing.
3:58 p.m., Tofte: A 69-year-old man hiked to the top of Carlton
Peak and has not returned yet.
5:04 p.m., Grand Portage: Fraud phone call received.
5:30 p.m., Schroeder: False fire alarm from Temperance
Landing.
7:15 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said he was following a vehicle
on Highway 61 for a long distance and he saw the driver
continue to turn around and appear to swat something or
someone in the back seat.

Tuesday, June 28
12:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said her ex just took her cell
phone. It was returned.
5:54 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage reported at the Rec Park.
8:34 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a canoe fell off his vehicle
on the Caribou Trail.
10:28 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a man has been sleeping
in a blue van down by the beach on Old Shore Road. A deputy
spoke with the person, and he moved on.
1:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller’s cat ran off from Birchwood
Apartments last week.
2:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said an individual bought
cigarettes for two minors at Buck’s.
4:07 p.m., Grand Marais: A fire on County Road 7 was put out
before responders arrived.
4:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of services reported from Grand
Marais Pharmacy. A man came in to get new plates and tabs and
left without paying.
6:43 p.m., Tofte: Report of a paddle boarder way out on the lake
from Surfside Resort.
6:59 p.m., Grand Marais: A purse was found outside the library
and turned in.
7:13 p.m., Grand Marais: A pair of prescription sunglasses was
found on the Magnetic Rock trail. A message was left for the
owner.
8:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch at mile marker 99.
State Patrol notified.

Wednesday, June 29
4:25 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller’s Australian shepherd was on the
loose on Wahlstrom Road.
9:18 a.m., Grand Marais: A person who had to go to Duluth
last night for a medical emergency wanted to know if someone
would be able to let his dog out.
10:07 a.m., Lutsen: Speeding citation issued.
11:34 a.m., Grand Marais: Speeding citation issued.
11:44 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited for passing on the right.
4:02 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost wallet reported.
5:04 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle in the ditch near Lockport Store.
5:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Trail Center said a lumber
truck just went through the area way too fast.
6:25 p.m., Grand Marais: A set of keys was dropped down into
the city grate near Dockside.
7:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Trail Center said a DNR
Fisheries truck just went flying through the 40 mph zone.
8:21 p.m., Lutsen: Power outage on County Road 34.
10:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a tree in the road near the
Grade.

Thursday, June 30
8:32 a.m., Grand Marais: False alarm at Cascade River State
Park.
9:27 a.m., Tofte: False alarm at Bluefin Bay.
10:39 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called to the YMCA to deal
with an irate person.
2:05 p.m., Tofte: False alarm at Bluefin Bay.
2:51 p.m., Grand Portage: Arrest made for DUI.
2:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Report received of possible
maltreatment of a student.
5:31 p.m., Grand Marais: A small German shepherd mix was
found on County Road 60.
7:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Two men were reported missing from
a camp site on Clearwater. They were located before responders
arrived.
8:02 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputies were called to the jail to deal
with an inmate who was uncooperative.
10:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Barking dog complaint on East Fifth
Street.
11:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller heard “intense” screaming on
Devil Track Road. Deputies checked the area and found nothing.

Friday, July 1
12:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a yellow Lab came
running out and snarled at him and his grandkids while walking
on Croftville Road.
12:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited for speeding.
1:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint.
2:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about speeding trucks on
the Grade.
6:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Two-vehicle accident at Maple Hill
Drive-Gunflint Trail.
7:32 p.m., Grand Portage: Driver cited for speeding and no valid
license.
8:43 p.m., Grand Marais: A branch fell and hit some power lines
on Hungry Jack Road, causing a power outage.
11:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Loud fireworks or shots fired
complaint.
