Monday, June 13
8:12 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he
was charged by a dog as he was running
past a residence on East Highway 61.
11:36 a.m., Grand Marais: A person
found a wallet and a red suitcase, and
turned it in at the Law Enforcement
Center.
2:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
2:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
4:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
5:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of water
running over the Shoe Lake Road, 4.3
miles up from the Green Lake Road.
Tuesday, June 14
2:02 a.m., Grand Portage: False
residential burglar alarm.
7:27 a.m., Tofte: A forklift tipped over
into the ditch on the Grade.
9:31 a.m., Grand Marais: A canoe was
found at Golden Eagle Lodge.
9:53 a.m., Hovland: Caller said the door
of his cabin was kicked in sometime over
the weekend, and some small items were
taken.
10:28 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost
envelope from Blue Cross.
3:14 p.m., Grand Marais: A Scottie
jumped out of a vehicle parked on Fall
River Road, and is still missing.
4:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage
on County Road 7.
8:41 p.m., Grand Marais: A file folder
was found in the eastbound lane of the
highway near the radio station.
11:26 p.m., Lutsen: Report of a broken-down vehicle near mile marker 88.
Wednesday, June 15
10:30 a.m., Grand Marais: Two calls were
received about debris falling from a large
truck northbound toward Grand Marais.
State Patrol was notified.
12:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of
possible child neglect/unsafe conditions.
12:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller found a
gray tabby cat on Eighth Avenue West. It’s
now in her car, and she’s wondering what
to do with it.
4:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Fender-bender
on the highway near Buck’s.
4:38 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
6:49 p.m., Lutsen: Caller from the Sea
Villas said a handgun was stolen from his
vehicle.
7:11 p.m., Lutsen: Caller from South
Caribou Drive said the road grader’s
lights are on, so they might have a dead
battery in the morning.
7:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a
vehicle was abandoned in his driveway.
The driver’s window was broken.
7:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller stated he
was on the hiking trail and lost.
Thursday, June 16
12:22 a.m., Lutsen: Person arrested for
assault.
10:54 a.m., Grand Marais: IRS scam
phone call reported.
10:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from
Devil Track Road said his neighbor just
shot off about 10 shots.
11:43 a.m., Hovland: Traffic citation
issued.
3:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there
is a dead deer in his yard on County
Road 7, and he would like someone to
remove it.
5:39 p.m., Grand Portage: Arrest made on
an outstanding warrant.
7:35 p.m., Grand Marais: IRS fraud
phone call received.

7:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a
strong propane smell at the Laundromat.
8:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a
parked car was just hit near the Harbor
House Grille.
10:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint
about a semi parked across from the
Mangy Moose with its engine running.
Friday, June 17
12:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
1:39 a.m., Schroeder: Caller from
Temperance River State Park said there is
a bear in their campsite.
11:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a
grill in the eastbound lane of the highway,
near mile marker 111.
1:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a line
of six ATVs going up the Gunflint Trail
near Devil Track Road.
4:05 p.m., Schroeder: Caller said he was
following a logging truck whose tire
blew and is kicking out debris near mile
marker 71. Referred to State Patrol.
5:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a
lost iPod case between Angry Trout and
town.
6:14 p.m., Grand Marais: A kitten was
found on Fifth Avenue West.
9:04 p.m., Grand Marais: A young black
dog was found on 10th Avenue West.
9:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint
about fireworks on Cascade Beach Road.
Saturday, June 18
12:53 a.m., Grand Portage: Threats
reported.
7:34 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a
large tree down on the Gunflint Trail.
9:05 a.m., Lutsen: Report that a vehicle
has been parked in the parking lot at
the base of Ski Hill Road for about two
weeks.
12:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a
vehicle parked at the Lace Lake helo pad
for over a week.
6:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Riding lawn
mower on fire.
6:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage at
Pine Mountain Court.
6:35 p.m., Grand Marais: A wallet that
was left at Birchbark Gallery was turned
in to law enforcement.
7:38 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
7:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint
about a white pick-up speeding up
Broadway.
11:05 p.m., Tofte: Vehicle taken without
permission.
Sunday, June 19
12:03 a.m., Grand Marais: Harassment
reported.
10:52 a.m., Hovland: Traffic citation
issued.
11:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said
someone hit and knocked down his
mailbox.
1:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage
on East Fifth Street.
5:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller found an
old yellow Lab in rough shape on West
Third Street, and wanted it taken to the
pound.
5:07 p.m., Grand Marais: A set of car keys
was found at Lake Superior Trading Post.
9:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of
multiple trees down with power lines on
the ground near Clearwater Lodge, and
several power poles snapped.
10:05 p.m., Lutsen: Tree down and
blocking Ski Hill Road.
10:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of
a possible fatality and other unknown
injuries near Duncan Lake.
