Monday, April 18
9:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a couple horses
walking along County Road 7 toward the lake.
12:02 p.m., Grand Marais: A “Code Red” was sent out
countywide advising of a scheduled power outage at 3
p.m., and again at 5 p.m.
1:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said the shoulder of the
Gunflint Trail is washing away.
2:43 p.m., Tofte: Employee fraud/theft reported.
7:32 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said two teens broke
his child’s scooter and then entered the home while
they were away.
8:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
Tuesday, April 19
7:56 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated in Safe
Routes to School.
1:19 p.m., Grand Marais: A deputy assisted State Patrol
on a traffic stop.
3:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
4:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
6:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is an injured
deer on the side of the highway and it looks like a wolf
has gotten to it.
6:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
7:23 p.m., Schroeder: Traffic citation issued.
9:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Harassing text messages
reported.
Wednesday, April 20
11:08 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy had the drug dog out
at the school.
11:12 a.m., Lutsen: Trespassing reported.
1:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
2:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said her husband’s
family is giving her items away, and she wanted to
speak to a deputy.
5:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a man slumped
over in the driver’s seat of a pick-up for the past couple
hours. The truck was parked in front of the Shoreline
on South Broadway.
5:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Two bikes were found in the
weeds behind the Coast Guard station while cleaning
up the area.
Thursday, April 21
8:36 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said her ex-boyfriend
is threatening to burn all of her things, and she’s too
scared to go up there.
5:29 p.m., Grand Portage: Burglar alarm on Upper
Road proved to be false.
7:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he lost his driver’s
license somewhere in town.
10:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is an
intoxicated person who may attempt to drive home.
10:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said she heard loud
pounding on her door earlier, and then again a bit later.
Friday, April 22
2:40 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller on East Highway 61
said she hears sawing noises in her back yard.
4:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
8:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of vulnerable adult
abuse.
Saturday, April 23
6:12 a.m., Grand Marais: Report that a deer with two
broken legs need to be dispatched on the highway near
Five Mile Rock.
9:12 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
2:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a vehicle
driving around town at a high rate of speed.
3:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller saw two dogs running
around near the Gunflint Ranger Station, and thought
Law Enforcement should know.
9:18 p.m., Lutsen: State Patrol notified of a vehicle
speeding on the highway near Arrowhead Electric.
Sunday, April 24
3:36 a.m., Tofte: False security alarm at Bluefin Bay.
8:52 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller said there is a loose
child roaming around the lodge with a head injury. She
may have fallen down the stairs.
11:29 a.m., Grand Marais: A friendly white English
setter, “Sam,” went missing from 10th Avenue West.
11:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
5:47 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
