Monday, Dec. 21

12:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Anonymous report that a para had brought a knife to school. School administration is investigating.

Tuesday, Dec. 22

2:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Investigation of a possible telephone fraud scam.

7:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Motorist reported that a truck moving in the opposite direction was traveling in the wrong lane, and he (caller) had to flash his lights several times to get him to move over.

9:23 p.m., Grand Portage: A vehicle left the road, hit one of the national monument’s buildings, and took out a tree. There was also damage to the sidewalk.

Wednesday, Dec. 23

1:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Assistance requested for a man who crashed into some trees on Highway 61. There were no injuries reported.

7:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of an erratic driver near Cutface.

11:55 a.m., Lutsen: Report of a vehicle roll-over at the intersection of High Forest Trail and Maple Leaf Trail. No injuries, but a tow truck was needed.

12:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Child custody issue.

1:14 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle in the ditch at mile marker 93. No injuries.

4:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle pulled from the ditch just east of Temperance.

Thursday, Dec. 24

8:13 a.m., Grand Portage: Reported theft of about 58 Loritab pills and an EBT card from a vehicle sometime overnight.

12:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle about a mile east of the Brule River. No injuries.

6:03 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputies helped Customs with a possibly suicidal man who arrived at the border from Canada by cab.

Friday, Dec. 25

3:35 a.m., Tofte: Deputies checked on a burglar alarm at Tofte Homestead maintenance building.

5:10 a.m., Schroeder: Power outage.

8:54 a.m., Hovland: Single-vehicle accident near Magney State Park. No injuries.

6:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of gunshots near Coyote Ridge. It was determined to be fireworks.

10:42 p.m., Colvill: Deputies responded to a domestic involving four people.

Saturday, Dec. 26

11:19 a.m., Schroeder: Vehicle rollover in the ditch near Tac Harbor. No injuries.

11:53 a.m., Grand Marais: A Duluth man, 27, was issued a citation for driving after revocation following a roll-over.

1:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Two-vehicle accident involving the county’s grader and a car at the corner of First Street and First Avenue West.

2:48 p.m., Grand Portage: An alarm at the national monument

was set off accidentally by people plowing snow.

scene of what was believed to be a death by natural causes.

6:19 p.m., Colvill: Domestic disturbance.

Sunday, Dec. 27

12:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver arrested for DWI after he

was found in the ditch.

8:38 a.m., Grand Portage: A Thunder Bay man, 22, was Network

issued a citation for possession of a small amount of marijuana.
