the crossing guard stop sign at First Avenue West-West
Fifth Street.
1:52 p.m., Grand Portage: A burglar alarm was set off by
an employee at the Health Services building.
6:15 p.m., Grand Portage: Suspicious activity reported on
Townsite Road.
9:22 p.m., Grand Marais: A big yellow Lab, “Poncho,”
went missing from East Fifth Street.
9:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Harbor Inn said
she witnessed a gray van with Wisconsin plates driving
on the wrong side of the highway.
Saturday, March 26
9:38 a.m., Grand Marais: A game warden was notified
of a report that an injured wolf went through the
neighborhood on First Avenue West.
3:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
6:55 p.m., Lutsen: Traffic citation issued.
6:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he just struck and
killed a deer near mile marker 112.
9:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said the lights are on
inside the Maple Hill Fire Department.
11:44 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic assault.

2:31 p.m., Grand Portage: Possible theft of a wallet
reported.
3:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller on Second Avenue West
said her Gordon setter, “Rusty,” got off his lead and won’t
come back.
4:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is still debris
on the road from a car-deer accident at Kelly’s Hill, and
it could puncture a tire.
7:06 p.m., Tofte: A Jeep Wrangler was stuck on
Temperance River Road.
8:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost wallet
somewhere around town.
Monday, March 28
8:54 a.m., Grand Marais: A deer was struck by a vehicle
on the Gunflint Trail, causing minor damage.
9:27 a.m., Grand Marais: A phone was found and turned
in to the Law Enforcement Center, which contacted the
owner.
2:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible break-in and burglary
reported at GoFer Trailer Court.
6:36 p.m., Lutsen: Power outage on Caribou Trail.
7:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.

3:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported that a
vulnerable adult and child left home under suspicious
circumstances.
8:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a vehicle parked on
the side of County Road 6.

car that drives really fast on Devil Track Road.
10:21 a.m., Grand Marais: False burglar alarm at the
Cook County museum.
11:04 a.m., Grand Marais: A golden retriever was found
on Seventh Avenue East.
5:18 p.m., Hovland: False burglar alarm on Stonegate
Road.
9:58 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.

2:58 p.m., Schroeder: A game warden booted some
campers from Temperance River State Park for drinking
and pot smoking.
6:03 p.m., Hovland: A report from Onstar indicated
there were four people trapped in a vehicle on Highway
61.
6:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck and killed on the
highway.
11:57 p.m., Lutsen: Deputy assistance requested to
remove a disorderly intoxicated man from Papa
Charlie’s.

10:31 a.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
19-year-old woman with a knee injury.
