Fall River Road, blocking the whole road.
6:11 a.m., Grand Portage: Power outage at the
lodge.
6:29 a.m., Schroeder: A tree was removed
from Cramer Road.

partially blocking the highway just east of
Cascade.
6:36 a.m., Tofte: Tree down and blocking the

pedestrian crossing sign is missing from the
pole at First Avenue West-Highway 61. The
arrow is still there, but the person sign is gone.
7:33 a.m., Lutsen: Vehicle in the ditch at Ski
Hill Road-Highway 61.
7:52 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated
in Safe Routes to School.
11:52 a.m., Grand Portage: Reported theft of
four gold coins from a residence.
12:57 p.m., Lutsen: Caller said there has
been a black Lab in her yard all day. It has an
orange collar and is skittish.
4:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a
German shepherd came out on the road at
Gunflint Trail-Cedar Grove Lane, barked at
her and would not leave until the owner came
out and got it under control.
4:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a vehicle
speeding through town, passing on the right
shoulder. It went eastbound out of Grand
Marais.
5:20 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin.
6:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller complained
about the neighbor’s hound dog coming into
her yard and pasture, harassing the horses and
mule.
7:08 p.m., Grand Marais: The Forest Service
notified Law Enforcement that there would be
an owl study going on at Bally Creek Road.

3:01 a.m., Grand Marais: Carbon monoxide
alarm was activated at Cobblestone Cove;
everyone was out of the unit.
7:03 a.m., Schroeder: Possible theft of wire
from a building at Taconite Harbor reported.
7:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated
in Safe Routes to School.
8:59 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm caused by
burning food.
1:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
1:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Fraud reported.
2:18 p.m., Hovland: Report of a small black
car with Wisconsin plates speeding down the
Camp 20 Road. There is a small child sitting
on the driver’s lap.

are on in the Coast Guard building on Artist
Point.

line, almost all the way to the ground, just

Cook County warrant.

2:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from
Cobblestone Cove said either the fire alarm
or carbon monoxide alarm was going off, and
wanted the fire department to come.
6:17 a.m., Schroeder: State Patrol asked
for assistance to clear a dead deer from the
middle of the highway at mile marker 75.
8:37 a.m., Grand Portage: Report of a driver
passing the school bus at a high rate of speed
near Casino Drive.
12:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
1:36 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy participated
in a DARE program at Oshki Ogimaag school.
