phone somewhere in the Grand Marais area and
would like to be called if it is found.
11:51 a.m., Lutsen: Traffic citation issued.
6:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck and killed on
the highway near Five Mile Rock.
Tuesday, Feb. 2
4:31 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller said a person has
broken into his residence and is passed out on the
couch.
7:40 a.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made on a warrant.
7:56 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participating in
Safe Routes to School.
10:57 a.m., Hovland: An 18-wheeler was stuck in
the driveway at Chicago Bay Marketplace, sticking
out to the white line. State Patrol was contacted for
traffic assistance.
5:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputies were contacted
to look for a suicidal man.
8:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch off the
highway near mile marker 98.
Wednesday, Feb. 3
8:44 a.m., Tofte: Parking problem at Six Hundred
Road-Sawbill Trail.
8:44 a.m., Grand Marais: A backpack was left at
Tire & Auto Lodge.
9:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
10:20 a.m., Grand Marais: Credit card theft/fraud
reported.
1:02 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
2:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible break-in/robbery
reported at Harbor Inn.
4:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible break-in reported
at Birch Terrace.
Thursday, Feb. 4
9:37 a.m., Hovland: Deer struck by a vehicle on the
highway.
9:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Neighbor issue at
Sawtooth Ridges.
12:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Break-in and theft of
alcohol reported from Harbor House Grille.
1:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Vulnerable adult
investigation.
1:20 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy conducted a
DARE program at Oshki Ogimaag.
10:34 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
Friday, Feb. 5
11:10 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a man sleeping
in a silver Cadillac parked near the library. The
caller could not wake him up by pounding on the
window.
11:37 a.m., Grand Marais: Harassment reported.
Saturday, Feb. 6
3:44 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint
regarding a truck left at Gunflint Trail-Lima Grade
for quite some time.
9:00 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller requested that
a deputy check on a reported power outage on
Cascade Beach Road.
9:10 a.m., Lutsen: Complaint regarding a neighbor’s
dog that is harassing the caller’s pony.
9:48 a.m., Grand Marais: Noise complaint at
Sawtooth Ridges.
12:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a
large coon hound hanging out on the highway near
County Road 14, and he is unable to get to it.
3:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of possible drug
activity.
3:34 p.m., Lutsen: Possible break-in/trespassing at a
cabin reported.
4:16 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin Bay.
7:34 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle roll-over at mile marker
91.
8:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
10:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a
guy stumbling up the Gunflint Trail near the water
tower, and he is difficult to see.
11:12 p.m., Grand Portage: A complaint about
snowy road conditions on Highway 61 was passed
along to MnDOT.
Sunday, Feb. 7
7:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a van on its side,
in the upper ditch at mile marker 97.
9:10 a.m., Grand Marais: Loud music complaint at
Sawtooth Ridges.
12:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Threats reported.
4:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch at
mile marker 103.
5:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle slid into the ditch
on the upper side of the highway near Croftville
Road.
9:16 p.m., Hovland: Report of two lost boys on
snowmobiles, somewhere on the Arrowhead Trail/
Jackson Lake Road.
