1:04 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage along
Highway 61. PUC notified.
1:29 a.m., Lutsen: Loud party complaint at Caribou
Highlands.
4:18 a.m., Grand Portage: Vandalism reported.
7:23 a.m., Grand Marais: Tree down near mile marker
122.
5:27 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
7:53 p.m., Grand Portage: Arrest made on a St. Louis
County warrant following a traffic stop.
Tuesday, Jan. 19
7:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated in Safe
Routes to School.
8:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
8:58 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic dispute reported.
Wednesday, Jan. 20
12:25 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy investigated
a parked vehicle that has been on the side of the
highway for two days or more.
4:48 a.m., Grand Portage: Theft reported.
9:23 a.m., Grand Marais: Harassment reported.
9:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said an empty trailer
and boat were turned over in his driveway.
12:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated in a
DARE program.
12:59 p.m., Lutsen: Tree down on the roadway at the
Grade.
3:21 p.m., Lutsen: False fire alarm on Ski Hill Road.
4:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a cooler (full of
food) fell out of the back of his pick-up, and he wants
it back if found.
9:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a car in the ditch
at the water tower.
Thursday, Jan. 21
4:13 a.m., Lutsen: False fire alarm on Ski Hill Road.
8:07 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy spoke with a driver
about his conduct.
5:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Crossing guard violation
reported at Great Expectations.
8:32 p.m., Grand Marais: A black Scotty dog was
found wandering near Sven & Ole’s.
8:34 p.m., Schroeder: Caller said there is a U-Haul
truck on her property, and she’s not sure why it is
there.
Friday, Jan. 22
11:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a black Lab
running around East Highway 61, growling at people
and chasing cars.
5:27 p.m., Grand Portage: Security alarm activated at
the visitor’s center.
Saturday, Jan. 23
12:32 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy requested to
remove a person from the lodge.
11:09 a.m., Grand Portage: Report of a deer struck by
a vehicle at mile marker 145.
2:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about two
boys, about 16 years old, shooting an Airsoft gun at
passersby on East Third Street.
9:01 p.m., Lutsen: A truck rolled off a driveway at
Lutsen Resort, and is leaning against a shed.
Sunday, Jan. 24
2:21 a.m., Lutsen: Domestic disturbance reported at
Lutsen Resort.
6:21 a.m., Grand Portage: Deer struck by a vehicle at
mile marker 137.
9:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Car in the ditch off County
Road 60-Gunflint Trail.
2:07 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for
a 24-year-old man with a head injury.
3:17 p.m., Grand Portage: Suspicious activity at the
lodge reported.
4:33 p.m., Lutsen: Gunshots reported, coming from
near the lake.
6:29 p.m., Tofte: Fire alarm set off by some burned
bread; no need for the fire department.
11:19 p.m., Grand Portage: Man arrested on a
Wisconsin warrant.
