6:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a box truck sitting
sideways on the Gunflint Trail near Pincushion.
9:05 a.m., Lutsen: Traffic citation issued.
1:13 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a black Lablooking dog walking up Second Avenue East, and it looks
like it may have been hit by a car.
2:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
5:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Motorist struck a wolf on the
highway near Five Mile Rock. The vehicle was damaged,
but the driver wasn’t sure what happened to the wolf.
5:31 p.m., Lutsen: Report of a lost driver’s license.
6:57 and 7:12 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarms at Bluefin.
7:14 p.m., Grand Marais: Car in the ditch off Devil Track
Road.
10:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation given.
Tuesday, Dec. 22
8:29 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a dead wolf in the
ditch off the highway. DNR notified.
9:03 a.m., Schroeder: Security alarm activated at a
residence.
9:10 a.m., Lutsen: Complaint about an oversize load
truck that was parked in the eastbound driving lane at
Lockport.
10:38 a.m., Schroeder: Traffic citation issued.
2:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a small
brown dog wearing an orange vest running loose at the
Pincushion overlook.
2:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there are four
Middle Eastern men walking around the back side of the
high school, and it looks suspicious.
5:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch and on its
side off County Road 6.
8:45 p.m., Tofte: Deer struck by a vehicle near AmericInn.
Wednesday, Dec. 23
1:22 a.m., Grand Marais: The fire alarms were going
off, and the sprinklers in the pool area were spraying at
Aspen Lodge. There was no smoke or fire visible.
2:23 p.m., Lutsen: Traffic citation issued.
4:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on South Shore
Drive.
7:33 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle in the ditch off the highway at
mile marker 89.
10:54 P.M., Grand Marais: A light post was down across
from Java Moose.
Thursday, Dec. 24
1:54 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a tree down and
blocking most of the Gunflint Trail near Lullaby Creek.
3:01 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on Cascade Beach
Road.
9:12 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a black dog running
on the highway.
10:45 a.m., Grand Portage: Harassment by Facebook
reported.
1:09 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
Friday, Dec. 25
4:16 a.m., Schroeder: Report of a lost white husky dog,
last seen around 6 p.m. on Town Hall Road.
8:34 a.m., Lutsen: Caller said he was watching the
neighbor’s dog, and he has gotten away.
4:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of gas being siphoned
from a vehicle parked at Gofer Trailer Court. The vehicle
has also been scratched.
10:52 p.m, Lutsen: False fire alarm at Lutsen Resort.
Saturday, Dec. 26
4:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of icy and slippery
conditions on Rosebush Hill.
5:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint regarding a
vehicle left in the parking lot at Johnson’s Foods for a few
days.
5:20 p.m., Tofte: A husband and wife called to say they
were lost somewhere on Oberg Mountain Hiking Trail.
They were staying at the Sea Villas.
Sunday, Dec. 27
12:19 a.m., Hovland: Deer struck and in the ditch near
Hammer Road.
7:21 a.m., Grand Portage: Report of a house on fire on
Townsite Road.
8:29 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a vehicle stopped,
with its flashers on, at mile marker 97. The driver was out
with a child in the westbound lane, and the caller said it
seemed suspicious.
12:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a black dog is out
chasing cars on the highway, and has been doing it most
of the morning.
12:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an SUV in the ditch
at the Pines.
3:22 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
woman with knee and elbow injuries.
8:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an older brown Lab
walking toward Buck’s on First Avenue West.
9:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck on the highway at
Bents Road. The caller said he doesn’t believe it’s dead.
