7:39 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy participated in Safe
Routes to School.
9:05 a.m., Grand Marais: A report of a possible burglary
was cancelled.
9:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Theft of property reported.
10:22 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
4:14 p.m., Grand Marais: School bus stop arm violation
reported.
5:04 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin.
5:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a broken down
vehicle on the Gunflint Trail.
6:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Partial power outage reported;
half the power in the house was not working.
9:10 p.m., Schroeder: A white husky went missing from
Lamb’s Resort.
11:06 p.m., Grand Marais: A cream-colored lab was put
in the pound after it was found sitting at a resident’s
door.
Tuesday, Dec. 1
8:12 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint regarding a
black pick-up left near the dentist office for about a week
and a half.
8:33 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a deer with a broken
leg has been living in her yard.
2:59 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of a lost cell phone.
4:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy was requested at a
residence after someone kicked in the back door and
destroyed the front porch.
Wednesday, Dec. 2
11:56 a.m., Grand Marais: A van broke down on the
upper shoulder of the highway.
2:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic accident on the highway
reported.
4:36 p.m., Lutsen: False security alarm at a Rollins Creek
Road residence.
Thursday, Dec. 3
6:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a suspicious man
who came up out of the bushes at the Rec Park, walked
down the middle of Highway 61 to Holiday, and
returned. The caller said he (the man) was walking
where it would be easy to be hit by a vehicle.
10:56 a.m., Hovland: Suspicious phone call reported.
11:36 a.m., Grand Marais: Fraud phone calls reported.
2:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Motorist assist.
2:50 p.m., Grand Portage: Complaint about a person
coming to the caller’s home and harassing her, and
shooting a pellet gun around.
3:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible theft reported at
Birchwood Apartments.
5:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported the theft of a
gun from his vehicle.
5:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a vehicle
driving up and down First Avenue East.
5:59 p.m., Lutsen: Trespassing and violation of a
restraining order reported.
Friday, Dec. 4
12:53 a.m., Schroeder: Vehicle accident near the south
railroad bridge.
3:18 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy’s squad car struck a
deer on the highway.
12:18 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of medication from a
vehicle reported.
12:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said cars were speeding
during the lunch hour, going to the Coast Guard point.
12:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Motor vehicle accident on the
Gunflint Trail.
2:05 p.m., Lutsen: Report of an abandoned vehicle at the
end of Steam Engine Road.
5:26 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin Bay.
Saturday, Dec. 5
6:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Tree down and blocking the
Old Ski Hill Road.
10:10 a.m., Tofte: Report of a tree leaning on power lines
near Cliff Dweller.
6:00 p.m., Grand Marais: A moose-car accident occurred
on the Gunflint Trail, leaving the moose critically injured
in the ditch.
Sunday, Dec. 6
11:59 a.m., Lutsen: Report of a large light-colored dog
running down Ski Hill Road.
1:00 p.m., Schroeder: Power outage on Cliff Cove Road.
7:32 p.m., Lutsen: Report of a vehicle parked in the state
snowmobile trail parking lot.
11:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a flat bed
truck running and some guys out by it talking at West
First Street-Third Avenue West, and it seem suspicious.
