Monday, Nov. 9
7:36 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of an injured deer on
the upper shoulder of the highway near mile marker
105.
8:29 a.m., Tofte: Report of a person driving after
revocation, headed west.
12:19 p.m., Grand Marais: A former motel employee
broke into a room and took motel keys.
4:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a red van driving
recklessly around town.
4:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of gunshots west of
Chippewa Trail.
6:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost dog, “Sam,”
missing from 10th Avenue West.
7:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
8:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a silver pick-up
racing up Broadway.
11:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a loud
vehicle idling in a driveway.
Tuesday, Nov. 10
9:40 a.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made for a probation
violation.
4:24 p.m., Grand Portage: School bus stop arm
violation reported.
6:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he found the
missing PVC pipe that was reported as lost in last
week’s paper, and was given the owner’s number.
6:54 p.m., Lutsen: Deer struck on the highway near
Lockport.
Wednesday, Nov. 11
7:41 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller on Golf Course Road
said a black Lab just wandered into his yard.
9:27 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he wanted to
take a deer that had been killed on the highway near
Cascade, but it was too stiff so he just dragged it
partially off the roadway. State Patrol notified.
10:53 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller wanted to speak
with a deputy about possible animal cruelty.
3:22 p.m., Grand Portage: Possible theft of coins
reported.
4:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Threats reported.
4:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported.
Thursday, Nov. 12
11:30 a.m., Grand Marais: Stray dog found at Holiday.
3:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said the green house
with a green roof on Broadway has an open window –
either broken or open.
Friday, Nov. 13
12:34 p.m., Grand Marais: A mailbox was struck and
damaged on West Fifth Street.
3:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an unattended
campfire.
7:03 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin Bay.
7:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint regarding
a red truck on Devil Track Road.
9:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint regarding
a vehicle that has been parked at IGA for the past four
days.
Saturday, Nov. 14
9:03 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle rollover on the
Gunflint Trail.
9:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a dog running on
the beach, possibly lost.
3:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of a deer stand
reported.
6:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle rollover on the
north side of Swamper.
10:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Loose black Lab running
on Second Avenue West.
Sunday, Nov. 15
10:02 a.m., Grand Marais: Hunter requested
assistance after he came out of the woods and his car
wouldn’t start.
8:09 p.m., Tofte: False smoke alarm at Bluefin Bay.
