Monday, Nov. 2
8:02 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
12:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Someone was
knocking on the door of a residence
and trying to open the door. The caller
was home alone and scared to death.
1:09 p.m., Hovland: Vehicle in the
ditch near mile marker 130, tow truck
needed.
5:13 p.m., Schroeder: Traffic citation
issued.
8:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Car in the
ditch off the Gunflint Trail.
11:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Missing
person reported.
Tuesday, Nov. 3
12:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from
Harbor View Apartments saw a wolf
walking through the grass toward the
school.
12:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of
a motor home parking on city streets
for a few days, in violation of the
ordinance.
1:14 p.m., Grand Marais: A dog took off
from Fifth Avenue West and couldn’t be
located.
2:49 p.m., Lutsen: Fire alarm at Caribou
Highlands Lodge.
6:42 p.m., Grand Marais: A dog ran off
from a Cougar Trail residence.
Wednesday, Nov. 4
5:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a
dead deer in the middle of the Gunflint
Trail just above Pincushion.
2:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Two-car
accident occurred at East Bay Suites, no
injuries reported.
3:59 p.m., Grand Portage: Suspicious
activity on Townsite Road.
5:45 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic
citation issued.
10:18 p.m., Grand Portage: Front door
security alarm activated on Upper
Road.
Thursday, Nov. 5
8:05 a.m., Tofte: False rear door alarm.
11:21 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic
citation issued.
3:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic control
requested for a semi truck stuck in
Dockside’s driveway.
4:56 p.m., Grand Marais: A dead deer
was removed from the highway near
Fall River Road.
5:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Fraud call
reported.
6:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a
person driving after revocation.
7:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.

8:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller saw a
bear walking on the beach behind the
Best Western.
Friday, Nov. 6
8:19 a.m., Grand Portage: Traffic
citation issued.
9:28 a.m., Lutsen: Fraud phone call
reported.
2:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Report
of a large wolf on Third Avenue
East. Referred to State Patrol and
conservation officers.
5:09 p.m., Grand Marais: A 70-pound
golden went missing from Arrowhead
Trail.
5:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller
said someone is outside Birchwood
Apartments swearing at their kids.
7:50 p.m., Schroeder: A large white dog
showed up at a Highway 61 residence.
The dog was friendly and seemed to be
in good shape.
8:51 p.m., Grand Portage: Man arrested
on a Carlton County warrant.
Saturday, Nov. 7
1:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he
was assaulted on the road across from
Birch Terrace.
9:35 a.m., Hovland: Traffic citation
issued.
9:58 a.m., Hovland: Barking dog
complaint on Sled Dog Trail.
10:02 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck
by a vehicle at mile marker 122.
11:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a
Dumpster smoking.
12:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of
an older black Lab walking around
Security State Bank.
2:58 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from
Birchwood Apartments complained
that kids were bouncing balls in front
of his car.
7:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Disturbance at
Gofer Trailer Court reported.
Sunday, Nov. 8
10:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic
citation issued.
11:35 a.m., Lutsen: False fire alarm on
Ski Hill Road.
12:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Report
of a semi parked in front of Buck’s
Hardware, with liquid coming out of
the back.
1:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said
a bridge approximately 200 yards up
the snowmobile trail from the county
garage is missing decking and is a
hazard.
7:20 p.m., Schroeder: Motorist
assistance requested after a tire blew
just south of Schroeder.
