Monday, Oct. 26
7:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle on
the Gunflint Trail.
12:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
2:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a vehicle
that has been sitting on the side of Birch Lake Road
since summer.
3:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of teenagers in a
vehicle speeding up and down Broadway.
11:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of teenagers
smoking pot outside Birchwood Apartments.
Tuesday, Oct. 27
9:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Alarm accidentally set off by
the housekeeper.
2:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Woman arrested for driving
while intoxicated.
3:35 p.m., Hovland: A piece of PVC pipe with a level
placed inside was lost somewhere between North
Road and Grand Marais.
5:52 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of a person out on
the marina, screaming and yelling about having a bad
trip, and taking their jacket and shirt off.
Wednesday, Oct. 28
2:22 a.m., Schroeder: Caller said there is a drunk man
walking along the highway westbound.
2:12 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
5:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible water main break
near East Bay Suites.
8:52 p.m., Grand Portage: Possible chimney fire on
Store Road.
9:51 p.m., Grand Portage: A tow truck was called to
remove a vehicle that drove into the holding pond
behind the old employee parking lot at the lodge.
Thursday, Oct. 29
4:03 a.m., Grand Marais: Burglar alarm activated at
Sven & Ole’s. The building was found to be secure.
5:42 a.m., Tofte: Security alarm activated at Coho
Café. The building was found to be secure.
7:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost money bag reported
somewhere between IGA and the Catholic church.
Friday, Oct. 30
9:49 a.m., Grand Marais: Financial exploitation of a
vulnerable adult reported.
4:26 p.m., Tofte: An ID and credit cards were found in
a ditch on the Sawbill Trail.
Saturday, Oct. 31
9:28 a.m., Grand Marais: Report that money bags
were stolen from the Recycling Center sometime
overnight. There were no signs of a break-in.
12:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
12:58 p.m., Grand Portage: Two tires on a vehicle
parked at the lodge overnight were found to be
slashed in the morning.
1:26 p.m., Grand Marais: A transformer blew on Devil
Track Road, causing a power outage.
3:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Assault reported.
5:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle struck a deer on the
highway.
8:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Two kids ran away from a
deputy at the Community Center.
Sunday, Nov. 1
12:00 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a parked vehicle
with its dome light on at Third Avenue East-East
Third Street.
12:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he was looking
for a person who has been stealing stuff out of his
mom’s house, but cannot find him.
1:07 a.m., Grand Portage: Report of a man at the
casino with a gun inside his shirt.
10:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
12:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he was
following an unreported stolen vehicle near
Birchwood Apartments.
5:37 p.m., Tofte: Deer struck on the highway near
Chateau Leveaux.
6:37 p.m., Grand Marais: A black-and-white cat
showed up at a residence on Old Ski Hill Road, and
it appeared to be hungry and distressed. Animal
Advocates notified.
10:31 p.m., Grand Marais: A car parked on Broadway
was broken into.
