Community Center.
2:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller requested a
deputy to check that his vehicle was pulled off the
road as far as possible following an accident.
4:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of spray
paint on the arrow sign just below the County
Road 13 sign on County Road 7. The Highway
Department was notified.
5:25 p.m., Grand Portage: False security alarm at
the Great Hall at the national monument.

10:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.

Park said someone was trying to get into their
camper.

3:35 a.m., Lutsen: Caller expressed concern for
the safety of a hitchhiker on the upper lane of the
highway who was dressed in dark colors and very
difficult to see.
8:27 a.m., Schroeder: Traffic citation issued.
9:29 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
10:09 a.m., Lutsen: Hit-and-run damage to a
motorcycle parked at the Mountain Inn reported.
10:24 a.m., Lutsen: Credit card fraud reported.
11:27 a.m., Lutsen: Report of a woman on
the ground, claiming to be cold, at Caribou
Highlands.
11:58 a.m., Grand Marais: A dog with no tags was
found in a yard on First Avenue West.
12:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller lost her shaggy
dog on Artist Point.
3:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
5:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an unsafe
driver in a red pick-up traveling up the Gunflint
Trail.

9:25 a.m., Grand Marais: Two-car accident in the
Aspen Lodge parking lot.
1:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an
unattended fire on Broadway.
2:20 p.m., Lutsen: Fire alarm activation at
Caribou Highlands.
8:40 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller from Hollow
Rock reported that a white pick-up pulled up
outside their cabin and stayed there with its lights
on for about seven minutes before driving away.
Thursday, Oct. 1
6:36 a.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
10:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of cash
from a home.
12:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
12:31 p.m., Hovland: Traffic citation issued.
1:41 p.m., Hovland: Deputy spoke with a couple
hunters on an ATV on the Arrowhead Trail.
2:25 p.m., Grand Marais: The caller’s little white
dog went missing from West Fifth Street.
3:09 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
5:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a loud party
and disturbance at Birchwood Apartments.
5:25 p.m., Grand Marais: False alarm regarding a
mobile home on fire.

activation on Upper Road.

dog roaming Buckman Lane.
12:50 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle slid off Ward Lake
Road into the ditch.
2:25 p.m., Schroeder: Caller said there is a small
fishing boat out about 1,000 feet, and he thinks it
is too small to be out on Superior.
4:18 p.m., Hovland: Report that there is a safe on
the side of the road at Big Bay Point.
4:50 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller heard multiple
shots between the highway and the lake.
5:26 p.m., Lutsen: A man fell out of a golf cart
at Superior National and possibly separated his
shoulder.
10:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage in a
section of the Rec Park.
11:19 p.m., Lutsen: Deputy requested at Papa
Charlie’s to remove a customer who wouldn’t
leave.

1:39 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver arrested for
DWI.
2:59 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin.

reported.
