Monday, Sept. 21

6:45 a.m., Grand Marais: The caller’s
male golden retriever has been missing
from Harbor View Trail since yesterday.
8:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
10:17 a.m., Hovland: Report that a
pick-up with Texas plates has been
parked on Arrowhead Trail since at least
Sept. 11.
11:31 a.m., Tofte: Residential fire alarm
cancelled.
1:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Burglar alarm
activated at the Coast Guard station.
3:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a
vehicle driving erratically, heading north
on the highway.
3:56 p.m., Grand Marais: A tree fell and
snapped the power lines on Bow Lake
Road.
5:25 p.m., Grand Marais: A great dane
named “Olive” was hanging out at
Dockside.
6:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller
expressed concern for the well-being
of an elderly couple hiking on Eagle
Mountain.
11:09 p.m., Grand Marais: False cashier’s
alarm at Holiday.
Tuesday, Sept. 22

9:34 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
10:14 a.m., Grand Marais: A wallet was
lost at Johnson’s Foods.
12:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Phone outage
at the hospital and care center.
12:16 p.m., Grand Portage: Identity theft
reported.
5:53 p.m., Tofte: Several storage units
were broken into.
Wednesday, Sept. 23

7:40 a.m., Grand Marais: Illegal burning
(trash) reported.
11:18 a.m., Tofte: Person locked out of
vehicle at Honeymoon Trail.

1:11 p.m., Grand Marais: A pick-up
truck parked on Pike Lake Road for
several days was broken into.
5:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of
vulnerable adult abuse.
5:52 p.m., Grand Portage: Citation
issued at the Port of Entry to a woman
with a small amount of marijuana.
Thursday, Sept. 24

6:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle rollover at Gunflint Trail-Golf Course Road.
9:24 a.m., Grand Marais: A Canadian
passport was found at Hughie’s Tacos.
10:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy
requested at the high school for kids
smoking.
12:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic
citation issued.
1:38 p.m., Grand Marais: Two-vehicle
accident that happened Sept. 14 was
reported.
2:30 p.m., Lutsen: Report of a vehicle
parked on Ski Hill Road for a few weeks.
8:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said
he hasn’t heard from his wife, who
was coming up here to checkout the
fall colors, since this morning. It was
unknown where she was staying.
9:38 p.m., Tofte: False smoke alarm.
Friday, Sept. 25

4:43 a.m., Tofte: Smoke alarms went
off at an apartment complex, possibly
caused by hot wires.
8:26 a.m., Grand Marais: Assault
reported.
11:19 a.m., Grand Marais: A wolf was
found stuck in a leg trap.
11:25 a.m., Grand Marais: A husky was
in the caller’s yard.
3:13 p.m., Grand Marais: A bald eagle
was struck by a vehicle near Kah Nee
Tah Gallery.
8:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made
on a probation violation.
9:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made
on an Itasca County warrant.

9:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
Saturday, Sept. 26

11:23 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller lost
a disposable camera and two bear
figurines in a green plastic bag last
weekend, and would like them returned
if someone turns them in.
2:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of three
Porsches racing down the Gunflint Trail,
going at least 80 mph.
4:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible deer
poaching reported.
5:25 p.m., Grand Marais: A driver’s
license was found along Fifth Avenue
West.
9:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by
a vehicle near mile marker 121.
10:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy
assisted a person who was trying to walk
home.
Sunday, Sept. 27

1:09 a.m., Grand Marais: A young man
was found sleeping in the doorway at
Aspen Lodge.
7:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy
encountered a woman on Golf Course
Road who was looking for food.
8:23 a.m., Grand Marais: A dead deer
was removed from the road at mile
marker 98.
8:24 a.m., Grand Portage: Car-deer
collision at mile marker 134.
10:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic
citation issued.
11:22 a.m., Grand Marais: Conservation
officer notified of an injured moose on
Loon Lake.
2:33 p.m., Grand Marais: People hiking
on Pincushion got turned around and
called to ask for directions back to the
parking lot.
2:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
5:36 p.m., Grand Portage: Loud
domestic argument reported.
6:31 p.m., Croftville: Power outage.
