woman fighting on the beach near East Bay.

1:16 p.m., Grand Portage: Phone scam reported.

9:30 a.m., Grand Marais: A cell phone was found near
Bluewater Café and turned in at the Law Enforcement
Center.
12:13 p.m., Lutsen: A bear cub was struck and killed by
a vehicle on Highway 61 near Ski Hill Road.
12:38 p.m., Grand Marais: A trucker requested
assistance after he swerved to miss a deer and his load
fell off.
4:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assistance requested
for cattle crossing County Road 7.
9:33 p.m., Schroeder: Power outage on Cramer Road.
Thursday, Sept. 3
2:19 p.m., Schroeder: Report of an eastbound vehicle
traveling at speeds of over 70 mph.
8:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about three crew
cab trucks racing their engines behind the Grand
Marais Apartments.
Friday, Sept. 4
11:07 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Surfside.
12:21 p.m., Hovland: Trespassing and illegal logging
reported.
4:49 p.m., Grand Marais: A septic guy who was digging
on Cascade Beach Road hit an underground wire and
needed to notify Arrowhead Electric.
4:50 p.m., Lutsen: Trespassing at Papa Charlie’s
reported.
4:57 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic altercation.
6:57 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
7:59 p.m., Schroeder: Deer struck and killed on the
highway.

12:07 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
2:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Tree down and blocking the
Grade.
12:34 p.m., Grand Marais: A manhole cover was ajar at
the intersection near Bally’s.
6:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
8:01 p.m., Lutsen: Trespassing reported.
9:16 p.m., Schroeder: Caller on Wild Onion Trail heard
gunshots to the north, possibly four in total.
9:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
10:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about someone
burning plastic on First Avenue East.
11:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he could see
strange-looking orange lights over the lake above
Tomteboda.
11:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a really
loud stupid group of people in front of the GunFlint
Tavern who won’t get out of the way, and he couldn’t
sleep.
Sunday, Sept. 6
12:13 a.m., Grand Marais: A deputy spoke with a group
of loud people behind the Legion.
12:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of an old lady
crawling down the sidewalk near West First Street-
Fifth Avenue West, who might have Alzheimers.
12:54 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on East Fifth
Street, PUC notified.
3:03 a.m., Lutsen: Caller said there is a very intoxicated
man in a tuxedo trying to get into their room at Eagle
Ridge. They have told him time and time again that it
isn’t his room, but he won’t listen.
6:54 a.m., Grand Portage: Power outage at the casino.
4:57 p.m., Grand Marais: A border collie was missing
from Bally Creek Road.
6:26 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Surfside.
7:27 p.m., Grand Marais: An RV broke down on
Wisconsin Street and was going to be there overnight.
8:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted a disabled
vehicle near the Washington Pines.
9:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Low-voltage issues on County
Road 7. The power was not completely out.
11:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch at
County Roads 56 and 60.
