Monday, June 29
11:38 a.m., Grand Portage: Customs
reported that a pick-up was pulling
a possibly stolen U-Haul trailer.
8:30 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at
Bluefin. It was caused by a problem
with the damper.
Tuesday, June 30
7:26 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller
from Pine Mountain Court said
that his truck and dump trailer
went missing sometime during the
night.
11:08 a.m., Grand Marais:
Contempt-of-court warrant issued.
11:15 a.m., Grand Marais:
Trespassing.
12:51 p.m., Grand Marais: A
pick-up was parked in the alley
behind Johnson Heritage Post,
blocking truck deliveries.
2:24 p.m., Grand Marais: An
oversized semi load was stuck in the
bypass lane at Cutface. State Patrol
assistance requested.
4:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint
about downtown music.
4:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Twovehicle accident at Gunflint Trail-
Trout Lake Road. No injuries
reported.
5:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of
a dog running down County Road
7, heading west.
6:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost
wallet reported.
6:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller
said a young man at Flour Lake
Campground was in and out of the
woods with some young children
with no underwear. There was also
a woman with him, and it seemed
suspicious.
9:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of
a vehicle driving recklessly around
Coast Guard Point.
9:51 p.m., Grand Portage: A vehicle
went off Blazes Road.
10:14 p.m., Grand Marais: Birch
Terrace requested a deputy to
remove an unwanted person who
was out of control and wouldn’t
leave.
Wednesday, July 1
8:19 a.m., Tofte: Driver cited for no
proof of insurance.
10:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver
cited for speeding.
10:22 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle
in the ditch near Gunflint Hills Golf
Course.
1:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver
cited for speeding.
2:23 p.m., Grand Portage: False
security alarm at the Community
Center.
6:21 p.m., Schroeder: Reported
break-in and burglary at a cabin.
8:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver
cited for speeding.
8:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Dog bite
reported.
9:31 p.m., Grand Marais: False
security alarm at Johnson’s Foods.

Thursday, July 2
8:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver
cited for speeding.
10:11 a.m., Tofte: A deer was struck
by a motorcycle.
10:58 a.m., Lutsen: Child
maltreatment issue.
11:25 a.m., Grand Portage: Four
wrong-turn individuals were
stopped by Customs for a drug
violation at the border.
11:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Two
women called and said they were
turned around and lost on the
Pincushion Trail.
12:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Reported
theft at the donut shop.
1:10 p.m., Grand Marais: The
callers had a dog in their kennel
that wandered into their yard.
1:19 p.m., Grand Marais: A driver’s
license was found in the parking lot
at Coast Guard Point.
2:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Car in the
ditch at Lima Grade.
2:34 p.m., Grand Portage:
Ambulance called for a man who
fell off a bicycle.
2:56 p.m., Schroeder: Vehicle in the
ditch between mile markers 75 and
76. State Patrol notified.
8:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost
wallet reported. The owner left it
on the bumper of the car and drove
off.
Friday, July 3
6:57 a.m., Lutsen: Driver cited for
speeding.
7:18 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver
cited for speeding.
9:03 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller
said there was a guy sleeping in his
truck, and it seems suspicious. He
did it all last summer, and now he’s
back.
12:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver
cited for speeding.
12:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver
cited for speeding.
1:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver
cited for speeding.
4:29 p.m., Grand Marais: A fishing
pole was found at Mink Lake.
4:42 p.m., Grand Portage: Speeding
citation issued.
6:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller
said there was a dog left in a parked
truck near the co-op most of the
day.
10:10 p.m., Lutsen: Fireworks
complaint.
11:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Report
of an unruly child at Birchwood
Apartments, possibly on drugs.

Saturday, July 4
9:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of
a hot-rodding driver downtown,
revving his truck at every stop sign.
10:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Report
of a pit bull chasing cars on North
Broadway.
11:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller
said a big white truck was heading
for town from the Rec Park with
two young girls on the back. It
doesn’t seem safe.
3:09 p.m., Tofte: An extremely
skittish dog that took off in the
Boundary Waters last week was
spotted on the Sawbill.
3:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller
said she was rushed by a couple big
dogs near Gofer Cabins.
5:29 p.m., Grand Marais:
Motorcycle accident at Lands End
Campground.
7:30 p.m., Grand Marais:
Disturbance reported at the Rec
Park.
7:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Property
damage reported.
8:15 p.m., Grand Marais: An
iPhone was found in the restroom
at City Hall.
11:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller
was concerned about debris on
Devil Track Road.
Sunday, July 5
2:08 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said
there was a loud argument going on
near the Kadunce River wayside.
3:41 a.m., Grand Marais: Loud
party at the Rec Park.
7:34 a.m., Lutsen: Complaint about
non-stop partying on White Sky
Trail.
10:33 a.m., Grand Marais: Person
in the ditch near Judge Magney
State Park.
10:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver
cited for speeding.
11:13 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver
cited for speeding.
11:51 a.m., Grand Marais:
Hazardous tree on the road at the
Grade.
1:32 p.m., Grand Portage: Deer
struck and injured.
2:04 p.m., Lutsen: Driver cited for
operating a motorcycle without a
motorcycle endorsement.
4:58 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver
cited for speeding.
5:07 p.m., Grand Marais: False fire
alarm at a residence on Broadway.
5:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Barking
dog complaint.
7:44 p.m., Grand Portage: Threats
reported.
