Monday, June 22
10:36 a.m., Grand Marais: A camper was parked in the
overflow lot at the courthouse.
12:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Man arrested on a probation
violation.
12:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost cell phone reported.
1:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about vehicles
doing road work at Four Corners.
1:22 p.m., Tofte: A tree was removed from Honeymoon
Trail.
3:09 p.m., Grand Marais: U of M notified law
enforcement that there would be scuba divers in Pike
Lake collecting larvae samples.
4:13 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch near mile
marker 98. No injuries reported.
5:16 p.m., Tofte: Report of three missing kids from
Chateau Leveaux.
6:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of broadband and
phone outage on South Shore Road.
6:59 p.m., Schroeder: Report of a yellow Jeep swerving
on Highway 61 since Silver Bay. Referred to State Patrol.
10:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost wallet reported.
Tuesday, June 23
8:30 a.m., Tofte: Driver cited for no proof of insurance.
8:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Employee set off the alarm at
Dairy Queen.
9:29 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm.
12:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said somebody stole his
bike from Harbor View Apartments.
1:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost set of keys reported.
1:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle accident near Isak
Hansen’s. A man was disoriented.
3:33 p.m., Lutsen: Report of a possibly abandoned
vehicle on South Caribou Drive. It has been there a
couple weeks.
4:13 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost passport.
6:06 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic argument.
Wednesday, June 24
9:29 a.m., Grand Marais: A transient stopped at Magney
State Park and was unable to pay. He had a light-colored
little four-door car, possibly with Missouri plates that
were covered up.
10:22 a.m., Grand Marais: Phone scam reported.
12:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a truck heading up
the Gunflint Trail was possibly having difficulties.
4:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited for speeding.
5:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost cell phone reported.
6:10 p.m., Schroeder: Erratic driver heading north from
the county line.
7:46 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin.
Thursday, June 25
1:17 a.m., Grand Portage: Assault reported at the casino.
5:16 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck and killed on the
Gunflint Trail.
10:11 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin.
11:51 a.m., Grand Marais: A bike was stolen from
Harbor Inn.
4:34 p.m., Grand Marais: A spot SOS signal was received
from a group of Boy Scouts. It was unknown what the
emergency was.
8:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an eastbound vehicle
speeding on the highway.
9:39 p.m., Grand Marais Report of cyber-bullying.
Friday, June 26
5:47 a.m., Hovland: Deer struck at mile marker 125.
6:28 a.m., Tofte: Speeding citation issued.
8:43 a.m., Grand Portage: Counterfeit $100 bill received
at the lodge.
9:22 a.m., Grand Marais: Motorist assist.
9:35 a.m., Grand Marais: Speeding citation issued.
11:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was a vehicle
with a boat parked in the turning lane near Aspen Inn.
3:05 p.m., Grand Marais: The windows on a vehicle
parked between Third and Fourth avenues west were
smashed. Nothing was believed to be taken.
7:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited for speeding and
no proof of insurance.
9:29 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin.
10:16 p.m., Grand Portage: Two young males who
crashed an ATV on Upper Road asked for an ambulance.
11:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about semis idling
near Mangy Moose.
Saturday, June 27
1:16 a.m., Tofte: Driver cited for speeding.
9:38 a.m., Grand Marais: Lost set of keys and fob
reported.
9:45 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint.
9:50 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said about two dozen
motorcycles were speeding up the Gunflint Trail.
10:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Publisher’s Clearing House
scam reported.
12:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about kids hanging
out in the parking lot at Birchwood Apartments for the
past three hours.
7:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of two ladders reported.
8:14 p.m., Hovland: Caller said a window has been stolen
from his house sometime in the past six weeks.
8:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Disturbance behind the
Shoreline Motel.
9:53 p.m., Grand Portage: Fireworks complaint on Upper
Road.
Sunday, June 28
11:56 a.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of a boat.
2:30 p.m., Tofte: Report of a vehicle traveling erratically
between Tofte and Silver Bay.
3:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited for speeding.
4:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said an ATV was driving
through his property and on the beach.
6:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Magney State
Park reported that a bear was in a tree across from his
campsite. State Patrol was notified.
7:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle and
still alive on the highway near Devil Track River.
11:03 p.m., Grand Portage: Security alarm at the national
monument. All was found to be secure.
