in a truck at the ball field.
8:06 p.m., Grand Portage: Driver cited for speeding.
8:17 p.m., Schroeder: Trespassing complaint.
8:53 p.m., Grand Portage: Driver arrested for DWI
after driving through a yard and over some trees.

7:52 a.m., Grand Marais: Lost purse reported.
12:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a semi was
dangerously passing eastbound vehicles on the
highway.
4:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said someone was
burning garbage in town. There was greenish brown
stinky smoke coming out of the chimney.
5:44 p.m., Grand Marais: A semi broke down at Fifth
Avenue West-Gunflint Trail, creating a traffic hazard.
9:45 p.m., Lutsen: Report of someone walking
through the woods near the caller’s cabin.

11:08 a.m., Grand Marais: Hit-and-run on West First
Street.
12:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a baby sea gull
fell out of its nest in front of the Spruce Glen Hotel.
State Patrol notified.
10:22 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin.
11:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Citation issued for failure
to extinguish a fire.

6:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Domestic assault reported.
6:25 p.m., Hovland: Vehicle sideswiped and in the
ditch at Tom Lake-Irish Creek Road.
8:18 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a person
bothering other people at Best Western.
8:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of car keys.
10:01 p.m., Tofte: Driver cited for speeding.

person in the lobby at the lodge.

the loading dock was blocked.

2:06 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller heard shots at the
dump about 10 minutes ago.
2:12 a.m., Grand Portage: Report of fireworks going
off on Upper Road.
5:56 a.m., Hovland: Report of black smoke north of
North Road.
2:47 p.m., Lutsen: A small golden retriever was
missing from Cathedral of the Pines.
5:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested to remove
an unwanted person.
9:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver arrested for DWI
after his vehicle was found in the ditch near the water
tower.
10:36 p.m., Lutsen: Report of a single gunshot on
Poplar River Road.
11:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Bear struck and injured by
a vehicle on County Road 7.
