Monday, November 23

11:13 Stihl chainsaw stolen from garage on Friday or Saturday. Worth about $600.

17:01 Welfare check requested for adult male. 21:22 Caller requesting welfare check on her brother.

Tuesday, November 24

8:17 Lost wedding ring – a thin gold ring with no engraving.

16:02 Caller reporting that her son’s school lunch box appears to have been cut. Concerned about possible weapon at school.

18:21 Chevy Lumina driving erratically coming into Grand Marais from west.

Wednesday, November 25
9:30 Court papers served. 11:26 Court papers served.

12:08 Caller reporting that kids from high school are parking at Boulder Park during lunch, parking oddly and blocking him in.

14:54 Caller reporting that Lutsen Mountains employees are using golf carts on Ski Hill Road. Also there is a John Deere Gator sitting at Bridge Run, it appears to be broken down.

16:51 White Pontiac Sunfire driving erratically.

17:13 Party took a taxi to the US-Canadian border, was not allowed to cross and was somewhat violent with Canadian customs.

20:22 Possible drunk driver eastbound from Five Mile Rock. Car crossed centerline and fog lines. Deputy and game warden located and followed the vehicle. Driver stopped, not intoxicated.

22:11 Half power at house on Gunflint Trail. Arrowhead Electric advised.

22:20 Ford F-150 stuck on the hill by Grand Portage Trading Post – possible drunk driver left on foot before deputies arrived. Tow truck called.

Thursday, November 26

6:35 Tree down on Old Shore Road. PUC crew notified.

8:51 Caller reporting that a groomer is parked on the Ski Hill Road. State Patrol checked. It appears the groomer is on a trail.

12:04 Caller reported that someone banged on his door last night.

12:08 Welfare check requested for adult male.

22:44 Report of an under aged drinking party in Grand Portage.

Friday, November 27

5:30 Citation for speed issued to 24-year-old male from Hamilton, Ontario.

5:42 Citation for speed issued to 62-year-old male from Thunder Bay, Ontario

11:17 Black plastic garbage bag floating in harbor.

19:00 Citation for speed issued to 61-year-old male from Woodbury, MN.

Saturday, November 28

1:59 Report that a party is drunk and stole a truck in Schroeder.

11:28 Items stolen from yard in Tofte: a big moose wood carving valued at $450, black grill cover, $15 and grill propane tank, $40.

22:38 Deputy requested to remove ex-boyfriend from home in Grand Portage. Deputies responded.

Sunday, November 29

00:32 Report of a physical domestic in the next apartment

in Grand Marais.

2:45 98-year-old female fell out of bed and cannot get back into bed. First Responders and Cook County Ambulance responded, transported to hospital.

12:44 Grand Portage caller reporting that ex-boyfriend returned and will not leave house.

14:08 Citation for speed issued to 35-year-old woman from Thunder Bay, Ontario.

14:43 Citation for speed issued to 33-year-old male from Thunder Bay, Ontario.

19:54 911 hang-up to Cook County Law Enforcement. No answer on call back. Deputy responded, party on phone long-distance and did not answer when callwaiting buzzed. Party did not know how 911 was called. No emergency.
