Monday, Feb. 2
1:19 p.m., Lutsen: Driver cited for speeding.
2:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited for speeding.
5:18 p.m., Grand Portage: Two Canadians arrested
by Customs after making a wrong turn from Quebec.
They had personal use marijuana, 8.3 grams of hash, a
grinder, and meth tablets (1.5 grams).
6:32 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic altercation. Caller
said one person was throwing stuff at another person.
He just threw a TV.
7:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Computer access and theft
reported.
Tuesday, Feb. 3
3:09 p.m., Grand Marais: A dog ran off from a
residence.
4:02 p.m., Grand Marais: False fire alarm at Johnson’s
Foods.
4:14 p.m., Grand Marais: A dog was seen wandering
Mopar Trail.
Wednesday, Feb. 4
9:39 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported
near mile marker 105.
11:37 a.m., Grand Marais: Theft of money from a Social
Security account reported.
11:51 a.m., Hovland: Driver cited for an expired driver’s
license.
2:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited for speeding.
2:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited for speeding.
6:53 p.m., Grand Portage: Trespassing reported.
9:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Dead deer in the eastbound
lane of the highway near Five Mile Rock.
Thursday, Feb. 5
3:00 a.m., Grand Marais: False burglar alarm at Super
America.
3:28 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy checked a business
where a hallway light was on.
11:27 a.m., Lutsen: Driver cited for speeding.
12:00 p.m., Schroeder: Deer struck and injured near
mile marker 72.
1:51 p.m., Tofte: Driver cited for speeding.
2:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Hit-and-run outside
Arrowhead Pharmacy.
3:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited for speeding.
8:33 p.m., Hovland: Report of three possibly intoxicated
snowmobile drivers on the Arrowhead Trail.
Friday, Feb. 6
9:52 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited for speeding.
10:49 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy checked on a vehicle
parked on County Road 14.
1:13 p.m., Grand Marais: Harassment reported.
2:30 p.m., Hovland: Driver cited for speeding.
7:24 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller requested that a
deputy remove an unwanted person from his residence.
10:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of gloves and a very
expensive camera reported.
11:59 p.m., Schroeder: Driver hit an icy patch and
rolled his vehicle. No injuries reported.
Saturday, Feb. 7
9:31 a.m., Grand Marais: City road crews sanded Eighth
Avenue West after a semi was unable to go up the hill.
10:13 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he saw a vehicle
going through town that matched the description of
one involved in an assault on I-35 near Carlton.
10:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Two dogs were seen headed
west on Highway 61 near Eighth Avenue West.
10:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Damage to property
reported. A camera, laptop, notebooks, work boots and
other random possessions were burned.
1:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he was concerned
about the safety of snowmobilers on the Gunflint Trail.
5:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Fraud on e-Bay reported.
7:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic assault.
10:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch near
mile marker 100. No injuries reported.
11:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Unwanted person at the
hospital.
Sunday, Feb. 8
11:32 a.m., Lutsen: Driver cited for speeding.
12:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Driver cited for speeding.
12:23 p.m., Schroeder: Vehicle roll-over, unknown
injuries.
4:45 p.m., Lutsen: Caller said she was checking on a
home that should be vacant, and she heard someone
upstairs taking a bath.
