11:37 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint. The caller
said someone is parking his car on the hill on School
House Road.
11:55 a.m., Grand Marais: A black spaniel ran off from a
West Second Street residence.
2:52 p.m., Grand Portage: Customs stopped a party with
15 grams of marijuana and .3 grams of hash.
3:43 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for an
abdominal injury.
5:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint. The caller
said someone has been parked in the same location on
Pike Lake Road for over 24 hours.
5:35 p.m., Lutsen: An employee’s vehicle was hit and
damaged in the Lutsen Resort parking lot, and the driver
left.
10:29 p.m., Hovland: Driver cited for speeding and
expired tabs.
11:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Ambulance called to the
GunFlint Tavern for a 50-year-old woman with a head
injury.

probation office.

12:31 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller said his friends have
left, and they owe him a lot of money.
2:39 a.m., Hovland: Power outage on Camp 20 Road.
3:13 a.m., Grand Portage: Driver cited for speeding.
9:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Warrant issued for probation
violation.
11:07 a.m., Grand Marais: Ambulance requested for a
woman with a head injury on Menogyn Trail.
1:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Barking dog complaint on
Eighth Avenue West.
3:10 p.m., Grand Marais: A cell phone was found on the
North Shore Snowmobile Trail.
3:17 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
33-year-old woman with a broken humerus.
3:31 p.m., Grand Portage: A row boat was found floating
near the lodge.
4:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a person is walking
his dog on Coyote Ridge, which is a private road.
7:45 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm in the Surfside laundry
room.
11:48 p.m., Hovland: Power outage on Camp 20 Road.

12:35 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was fighting
going on both inside and outside at Birch Terrace.
12:39 a.m., Lutsen: Noise complaint at Eagle Ridge.
1:34 a.m., Grand Marais: Shooing people out at Birch
Terrace.
1:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said five juveniles who
were passing a joint around just left Birchwood in a
black car.
2:13 p.m., Grand Marais: Unwanted person needed to be
removed from a residence.
10:07 p.m., Grand Portage: Person arrested on a Cook
County warrant.
Friday, Jan. 2
1:54 a.m., Grand Marais: A deputy checked on some
people who were seen walking around Birch Terrace.
12:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Burglary reported.
4:10 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
24-year-old woman with a leg injury.
6:58 p.m., Tofte: Driver cited for speeding and no driver’s
license in possession.
7:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called to remove
unwanted intoxicated people from a residence.
7:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Assault reported.
Saturday, Jan. 3
12:23 a.m., Lutsen: Two female guests were causing a
disturbance at Lutsen Resort. The women said they were
not drinking.
1:52 a.m., Tofte: State Patrol notified of a vehicle in the
ditch near Cliff Dweller.
1:54 a.m., Lutsen: The people involved in an earlier
incident at Lutsen Resort wanted to make a formal
complaint about the staff and deputies who responded.
8:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about snow plows
pushing snow up onto the walkways near the post
office, causing a hazard for people who have to use the
sidewalks.
9:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he hasn’t been to his
property for over a year and now he just got his electric
bill and there is a significant amount of usage on it.
10:43 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch at County
Roads 6/7.
1:15 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
21-year-old woman with a leg injury.
2:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a neighbor was
burning trash in a home wood burner and it’s stinking
up the neighborhood.
3:22 p.m., Lutsen: Trespassing at the Sea Villas.
6:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch at mile
marker 96.
9:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch off County
Road 7.
Sunday, Jan. 4
10:32 a.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
20-year-old man with an unknown injury.
11:55 a.m., Schroeder: Vehicle struck a deer just inside
the county line.
5:00 p.m., Grand Portage: False security alarm.
