9:52 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint regarding
a vehicle that has been sitting on Third Street for over
three months. It may be in the way for snowplowing.
2:34 p.m., Grand Marais: A white-and-black dog was
seen running around near the courthouse.
5:39 p.m., Grand Marais: A welfare check was
requested for a sick person at Birchwood Apartments
who was not answering her door. The dog was
barking inside.
6:19 p.m., Schroeder: A deer was struck by a vehicle.
It ran off.
9:27 p.m., Grand Portage: The C-store submitted a list
of drive-offs.
Tuesday, Nov. 4
12:20 a.m., Grand Marais: Domestic disturbance.
1:36 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy requested at the
state park to remove an unwanted person who has
been turned back from Canada twice. There are
possible mental health issues as the person is barefoot
in the parking lot and talking to a light pole.
8:38 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested at
Birchwood Apartments to remove unwanted
individuals.
8:56 p.m., Schroeder: Report of deer parts all over the
southbound lane of the highway. There was no vehicle
around.
11:20 p.m., Schroeder: Chimney fire reported on Skou
Road.
Wednesday, Nov. 5
11:08 p.m., Tofte: Traffic stop, warning given.
Thursday, Nov. 6
5:20 a.m., Grand Marais: A section of lockers was
sitting on the sidewalk on East Fifth Street.
8:33 a.m., Grand Marais: Littering citation issued for
illegal dumping on County Road 6.
11:38 a.m., Lutsen: A ski trail trimmer was on fire on
Caribou Trail.
1:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Cell phone stolen at the
school.
8:46 p.m., Grand Marais: A car was in the ditch off the
Gunflint Trail.
10:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of rubber burning
behind Grand Marais Motors.
Friday, Nov. 7
12:33 a.m., Grand Marais: Harassment.
5:33 p.m., Grand Marais: The caller was locked
outside with no coat on.
5:58 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of at least 3 inches of
snow and slop at the George Washington Pines.
Saturday, Nov. 8
1:49 p.m., Hovland: Deputy assisted a motorist with
vehicle problems.
5:02 p.m., Tofte: Report of two missing dogs.
8:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint.
Sunday, Nov. 9
12:39 a.m., Grand Portage: A deputy was requested at
the lodge for an unknown problem.
1:19 p.m., Tofte: Report of a damaged window at a
neighbor’s residence.
1:35 p.m., Lutsen: A hunter’s backpack was found.
9:53 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy requested to
remove an unwanted person from a residence.
