Monday, June 9
10:09 a.m., Hovland: Suspicious
activity on Hall Road. The suspect
tried to take copper pipe and when
confronted, apologized and put it back.
10:23 a.m., Grand Marais: Damage to
logging equipment reported.
2:47 p.m., Schroeder: Washout in the
middle of the Cramer Road, about 2½
miles north of the highway.
3:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Wallet found
near Java Moose.
4:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Wallet found
at Judge Magney State Park.
6:09 p.m., Grand Portage: Two-vehicle
accident at the Trading Post.
11:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint
about two idling semis parked across
from Super America.
Tuesday, June 10
10:03 a.m., Grand Marais: Found
property was turned in at Gene’s
Foods.
1:07 p.m., Grand Marais: A blackhaired dog was running loose on
Croftville Road.
3:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Stolen cell
phone reported.
3:19 p.m., Grand Marais: A small dog
was reported running loose on Seventh
Avenue West.
4:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of
somebody tearing up a yard on a threewheeler. 5:21 p.m., Schroeder: Burglary alarm at
Cross River Heritage Center.
6:50 p.m., Hovland: Power outage on
Moose Valley Road.
8:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that
beavers have built a dam near the Iron
Lake Campground again, and the water
is backing up and getting close to going
onto the roadway.
Wednesday, June 11
8:25 a.m., Grand Portage: A person
mistakenly picked up a white bag off
the counter at the lodge and headed
toward Duluth.
3:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Phone scam
reported.
6:08 p.m., Grand Portage: Theft
reported.

Thursday, June 12
8:06 a.m., Hovland: A van broke down
on the side of the road near mile
marker 127.
1:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Internet scam
reported.
9:38 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller’s dog
has been missing for a couple hours.
Friday, June 13
12:22 a.m., Grand Marais: An iPhone
and bottle of prescription drugs were
taken from an unlocked car parked at
Windigo.
6:11 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said
the front door of his neighbor’s house
was wide open, and the owners live in
the Cities.
8:48 a.m., Lutsen: Caller said a part
wolf/part dog, shaved on one side, no
collar, keeps circling the house and
trying to come inside.
9:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Fire alarm at
Holiday.
10:36 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller was
concerned about a family that was seen
in Holiday. The man and daughter were
very dirty. They used the bathroom and
got some hot water for hot chocolate.
6:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of two
boys on the roof at the Community
Center.
11:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint
about the smoke coming from a
campfire on the beach near East Bay
Suites.
Saturday, June 14
2:22 a.m., Grand Marais: Domestic
disturbance at Birchwood Apartments.
9:53 a.m., Hovland: A caller on Moose
Valley Road had a fawn lying on her
front porch all night and doesn’t know
what to do. The DNR was contacted.
8:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible lost
hiker on Kek Trail.
Sunday, June 15
12:18 a.m., Grand Marais: Report that
a drunk is lying in the ditch puking
near the sea plane base.
2:18 a.m., Grand Portage: Assault in
the casino parking lot reported.
7:40 p.m., Schroeder: Report of a tree
on the fiber optic line at Temperance
River State Park.
9:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck
by a vehicle on the highway near
County Road 14.
