there’s no emergency.” His daughter was at the ER and he
couldn’t find her.

12:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Two odd-shaped keys were
found in the Border Patrol parking lot.
4:38 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by vehicle, damage
to vehicle reported.
6:30 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic altercation.
Tuesday, May 13
12:50 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said her granddaughters
are driving her soon to be ex-husband’s car.
2L57 p.m., Grand Marais: Illegal dumping reported.
4:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said juveniles went into
the woods behind Birchwood Apartments and are getting
high.
6:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Illegal parking in a handicap
spot in the school lot.
7:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Alarm at the Rec Park.
9:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer-car collision on the
Gunflint Trail.
10:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said the lights on the
Arrowhead Transit bus that is parked in the Municipal
Lot are going on and off.
Wednesday, May 14
10:07 p.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle that was parked in
the courthouse lot on Monday was “keyed.”
10:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Threatening e-mails received.
11:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Fraud call reported.
9:18 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said there was an
unlicensed driver driving at the C-store, then hung up.
9:42 p.m., Grand Portage: Harassment.
Thursday, May 15
9:07 a.m., Schroeder: Lost wallet reported.
2:50 p.m., Hovland: Threats reported.
4:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said it is the night before
“Senior Skip Day,” and thinks there is a party planned but
does not know where.
6:02 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said someone walks
his dog off the leash on Eighth Avenue West, and when
neighborhood dogs approach, whips at them with the
leash.
7:32 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle rollover on Caribou Point Road.
A Century Link pole was knocked out.
9:40 p.m., Lutsen: Deer in the southbound lane between
mile markers 92 and 93.
Friday, May 16
1:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a 120-pound German
shepherd charged him and appeared to bounce off his car.
4:19 p.m., Grand Portage: False fire alarm at the C-store.
4:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle at mile
marker 96.
8:46 p.m., Grand Marais: A dog was found on Devil Track
Road.
Saturday, May 17
1:48 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm.
4:50 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer on the roadway at mile
marker 115.
10:11 a.m., Tofte: Suspicious activity at Holiday.
12:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of lost sunglasses in
a multi-colored striped case somewhere between the
Recycling Center and Highway 61.
2:31 p.m., Lutsen: Verbal warning issued for unattended
fire and burning outside a fire ring.
3:24 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of a Shetland pony
walking down the Mineral Center Road, eating grass
along the way.
8:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from the Municipal Lot
said he heard possibly 22 shots fired.
10:41 p.m., Grand Portage: Loud party complaint.

10:02 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on Sag Lake Trail.
10:44 a.m., Grand Marais: Lost key chain reported.
1:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Drug paraphernalia discovered.
1:14 p.m., Grand Marais: A North Dakota driver’s license
was found and turned in.
1:58 p.m., Grand Marais: Motorist assist on Washout
Road.
4:13 p.m., Lutsen: Motorist assist on Clara Lake Road.
10:17 p.m., Schroeder: Deputies out checking on smelters.
11:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an elderly man lying
on the sidewalk in front of the post office.
