Monday, April 21
9:02 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller’s black lab ran away
on Old Shore Drive.
9:18 a.m., Grand Portage: Gas drive-off of $30.07
from Ryden’s.
12:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller was concerned
about a confrontation between his dog and another
on Seventh Avenue West. There was yelling and
swearing, but the dogs were not jumping.
9:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle at
mile marker 124.
9:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said his dog got
loose from its chain on Fifth Avenue West.
Tuesday, April 22
7:45 a.m., Grand Marais: School zone patrol.
9:58 a.m., Grand Marais: A real estate agent set off a
residential alarm.
11:23 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller requested that
a deputy check on the welfare of a 100-year-old
woman who seemed confused and out of sorts.
1:26 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle struck a deer on the
Caribou Trail.
1:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost dog on
West Second Street.
6:45 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said the kids’ ball
rolled into the neighbor’s yard and he stabbed it
with a knife.
7:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Alarm determined to be
false at a Broadway business.
Wednesday, April 23
12:43 p.m., Hovland: Ambulance called to a
residence after an 18-month-old swallowed an
Adderall pill.
3:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Unauthorized burning
reported.
5:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller’s electric heat was
not working.
Thursday, April 24
1:39 p.m., Schroeder: False panic alarm.
2:07 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle rollover with injuries at
Ski Hill Road-Highway 61.
4:16 p.m., Tofte: Vehicle rollover at mile marker 82.
4:46 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle in the ditch off Caribou
Trail. No injuries reported.
7:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the upper side
ditch off the highway near County Road 14 with its
wipers still on.
Friday, April 25
2:09 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy assisted a disabled
vehicle with two occupants at mile marker 139.
6:15 a.m., Grand Marais: Phone line down on the
eastbound lane near West Fifth Street.
6:50 a.m., Schroeder: Power line down across the
highway at mile marker 78.
6:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Power line hanging about
4 feet off the ground across a driveway on Linnell
Road. Arrowhead Cooperative notified.
7:12 a.m., Grand Portage: Report of a telephone line
hanging across the highway at mile marker 142, too
low for a semi to clear. Century Link notified.
8:52 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a huge
pile left at the end of a driveway on County Road 6
by the county highway grader.
5:58 p.m., Grand Marais: False burglary alarm at a
downtown business.
6:24 p.m., Grand Portage: Trespassing reported.
9:58 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible phone scam
reported.
