Monday, April 14
6:31 a.m., Schroeder: Report of deep water and ice on
the highway just east of Temperance River.
6:43 a.m., Hovland: Tree down and covering
westbound lane of the highway.
7:29 a.m., Lutsen: Power outage on Barker Lake Road.
7:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Tree down blocking County
Road 13.
8:59 a.m., Grand Portage: Theft of a wallet reported.
9:13 a.m., Grand Marais: A three-wheeled stroller
went missing from a Humphrey Circle residence,
possibly blown away by the wind.
2:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a man who was
walking along the highway may be the man who was
reported missing in southern Minnesota a week or so
ago.
5:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he lost a
chainsaw out the back of his truck somewhere
between Eighth Avenue West and about seven miles
east of town.
8:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck and injured on
the highway near Five Mile Rock.
Tuesday, April 15
5:17 a.m., Grand Marais: False fire alarm at Holiday.
9:23 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a break-in and
burglary that happened sometime during the winter
on County Road 44.
9:56 a.m., Grand Portage: Fraud reported.
11:42 p.m., Grand Marais: A young girl, about 13
years old, was sitting alone at the Laundromat.
Wednesday, April 16
5:54 a.m., Tofte: Deer struck by a vehicle.
1:38 p.m., Grand Marais: A brown leather wallet was
found on the Gunflint Trail.
Thursday, April 17
4:03 a.m., Grand Marais: Report that Highway 61
between Hovland and Grand Portage had six inches
of snow.
11:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle off the road and
into the ditch on its side at mile marker 124.
4:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about the front
end loader moving snow near the post office. The
caller said it has no lights and does not beep when it
backs up.
4:22 p.m., Lutsen: A vehicle was backed into in the
Clearview Liquor Store parking lot.
9:36 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic altercation.
Friday, April 18
11:46 a.m., Grand Marais: An elderly lady with white
hair who can’t walk has a car full of things at Super
America, and cannot find her credit card to pay for
gas.
12:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Trespassing complaint.
8:54 p.m., Grand Marais: A golden retriever that
was walking along the highway near Solbakken was
picked up and will be kept until the owner claims it.
Saturday, April 19
7:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Stray dog reported.
11:28 a.m., Grand Marais: Car way down in the ditch
at mile marker 97.
3:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Dog complaint.
9:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lot of smoke
near Almost Home.
Sunday, April 20
10:16 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic stop.
3:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic stop, warning given.
6:47 p.m., Lutsen: Traffic stop, warning given.
