Monday, April 7
7:47 a.m., Grand Marais: A pick-up went into the
ditch at mile marker 113.
8:54 a.m., Grand Marais: A suspicious e-mail was
received by a staff member at the high school.
12:29 p.m., Tofte: An impounded snowmobile was
taken without permission.
1:29 p.m., Schroeder: Trucker requested a wide load
escort from Cramer Road to Grand Marais.
2:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller’s three-legged husky
was missing.
Tuesday, April 8
1:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Harassing letter received.
Wednesday, April 9
6:18 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller reported an ongoing
issue with the neighbor’s kids.
Thursday, April 10
3:25 a.m., Schroeder: A driver who appeared to be
confused ran out of gas on the highway near mile
marker 71. A tow service out of Finland assisted, but
the guy drove off before paying him for the gas. He
said he was going to Canada, but was headed in the
wrong direction.
9:13 a.m., Tofte: Fire alarm at Bluefin.
1:05 p.m., Tofte: Report of two trees down on the
Sawbill Trail.
2:37 p.m., Schroeder: Caller said the river was up over
the highway and large chunks of ice were blocking the
roadway. State Patrol notified.
4:14 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible fire reported on
Second Avenue West.
Friday, April 11
8:35 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a large pooling of
water over the roadway at County Road 7-Pike Lake
Road.
9:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking problem on
Broadway.
3:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a loose cocker
spaniel running around behind Super America.
5:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an injured deer on
the highway near Timberwolf Lane.
6:53 p.m., Lutsen: Deer struck by a vehicle.
Saturday, April 12
11:03 a.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill
for a 26-year-old man with a head injury.
5:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible water main break
on Sixth Avenue West. Water was bubbling up out of
the road.
Sunday, April 13
12:52 a.m., Lutsen: Altercations at Papa Charlie’s.
9:32 a.m., Grand Portage: Break-in and possible
burglary reported.
10:58 a.m., Grand Portage: Fire alarm at the
Community Center.
11:07 a.m., Schroeder: A vehicle broke down on the
highway.
2:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of smoke coming
from behind the Senior Center.
4:45 p.m., Grand Portage: Threats reported.
