Monday, March 24
9:09 a.m., Lutsen: Deputy assisted with a horse trailer
rollover on the highway near Spruce Creek. The trailer
flipped, but there were no injuries.
3:54 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic stop, warning given.
4:01 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic stop on Casino Drive,
warning given.
Tuesday, March 25
7:48 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic enforcement at both
school zones.
9:33 a.m., Hovland: Person wanted to report an issue
regarding underage kids and selling alcohol.
4:59 p.m., Grand Marais: A driver’s license was
found in a parking lot and dropped off at the Law
Enforcement Center.
6:14 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a disabled pick-up
at mile marker 101.
8:11 a.m., Grand Marais: Accident report requested
after a deer was struck near the DNR office.
Wednesday, March 26
2:04 p.m., Hovland: A pair of skis that was found at
South Fowl Lake (had been sitting in the snow for two
weeks) was turned in.
2:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Reported theft of anchor
bolts and diesel fuel from the cell tower site on Old Ski
Hill Road.
3:59 p.m., Hovland: Deer struck and killed at mile
marker 125.
5:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Animal disturbance on
Brandon Lane.
8:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Injured deer in the roadway
near Timberwolf Lane.
Thursday, March 27
9:23 a.m., Hovland: Cabin on Arrowhead Trail was
broken into.
9:42 a.m., Grand Portage: Vehicle theft reported on
Store Road.
2:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft reported.
10:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called to capture a
stray dog.
Friday, March 28
12:45 a.m., Grand Marais: Injured deer in the middle
of the highway near Howlin’ Wolf.
1:22 a.m., Lutsen: Loud party/music complaint at
Poplar River Condos.
8:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said her cat ran away
from home on South Shore Drive.
12:06 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic disturbance.
Saturday, March 29
12:22 a.m., Grand Portage: Loud music complaint on
Bay Estates Drive.
9:33 a.m., Lutsen: Power outage.
10:23 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a black and white
dog dragging its leash on Fifth Avenue West.
12:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was water
coming up from the street in front of Buck’s.
3:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an injured
snowmobiler up the trail. An ambulance was requested
to respond to Cascade Lodge.
4:12 p.m., Schroeder: Caller said someone was
shooting on Cramer Road, in the same area where his
dog was shot.
7:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage, long enough
for the items in the freezer to thaw.
9:36 p.m., Lutsen: Deer struck and deceased near
Lockport store.
Sunday, March 30
12:07 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about
snowmobiles riding back and forth on the streets.
4:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a neighbor’s
dog wandering into the caller’s yard again.
11:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a loud
party and campfire at Gofer Trailer Court.
