Monday, March 10
2:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Possible theft report at Cascade
Lodge was cancelled, the item was lost.
4:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Unsafe driving reported near
Solbakken Motel.
5:18 p.m., Lutsen: Deer struck and injured by a vehicle at
mile marker 93.
Tuesday, March 11
2:09 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a deer in the
westbound lane near Devil Track River.
7:18 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on Nickolay Lane.
8:03 a.m., Grand Marais: Threatening phone calls
reported.
12:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Horse seen running down
County Road 56.
2:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said kids were playing on
the ice behind the Shoreline Motel.
6:10 p.m., Lutsen: Deer struck by a vehicle near the fire
department. It limped off into the woods.
8:17 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller wanted to speak with a
deputy about a possible domestic confrontation.
9:52 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy requested at the border
for a drug violation.
Wednesday, March 12
6:23 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on Bloomquist
Mountain Road.
8:04 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was a child
sitting at the intersection of Gunflint Trail and the Old Ski
Hill Road, who possibly missed the school bus. The child
was gone when a deputy checked the area.
3:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck and injured near
Superior Lumber.
4:30 p.m., Lutsen: Theft of a snowboard reported from
Lutsen Mountains.
11:04 p.m., Grand Portage: Alarm set off at the
Community Center, and cancelled.
Thursday, March 13
11:05 a.m., Grand Marais: Abandoned snowmobile check.
6:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was a dog
walking very slowly along County Road 7, and it appears
to be lost.
7:53 p.m., Lutsen: Caller complained about the swimming
pool area at Caribou Highlands, and said it needs to be
shut down immediately.
Friday, March 14
8:10 a.m., Grand Marais: Snowmobile trailer with a flat
tire was on the fog line off the Gunflint Trail.
2:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Wallet found and owner
contacted.
3:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost cell phone reported.
4:42 p.m., Tofte: A small green car ran the school bus stop
lights near Bluefin Bay.
5:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of kids sliding off the
library roof.
7:00 p.m., Grand Portage: Vehicle in the ditch near the
C-Store.
7:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck and injured near
Croftville Road.
8:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said she heard two shots
on West Fifth Street.
9:35 p.m., Tofte: Fire alarm at Gull Harbor was false.
Saturday, March 15
10:20 a.m., Lutsen: Gas drive-off from Lockport.
3:13 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle struck a deer at mile
marker 101.
5:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said his friend was
being kicked out of his house, and wanted to speak with
a deputy about the rules of kicking someone out in the
winter.
11:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Two malamutes that were
running loose on the Gunflint Trail were picked up by the
caller, and will be taken care of for the night.
Sunday, March 16
5:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Tow truck sent to rescue a party
that was stuck on Shoe Lake Road.
5:27 p.m., Tofte: Deer struck by a vehicle at mile marker
82.
8:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was a domestic
situation, but everything is okay now.
