Monday, March 3
7:55 a.m., Grand Marais: School zone patrol.
10:47 a.m., Lutsen: Caller had questions about a sold
vehicle.
1:24 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller had questions about
billing information.
11:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Harassment reported.
Tuesday, March 4
8:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Possible child abuse reported.
10:20 a.m., Grand Marais: Illegal dumping.
12:36 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for
a 40-year-old man with rib and back injuries.
4:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller was concerned about
the driver of a semi that was parked in the Cascade rest
area for a couple of days.
Wednesday, March 5
12:50 p.m., Lutsen: Golf cart vs. car accident at Eagle
Ridge.
3:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle near
Croftville Road.
6:29 p.m., Grand Marais: A 911 hang-up was made by
a man who took a cell phone from his friend and did
it to be funny. He was advised that it’s not funny at all
and that it’s illegal. He apologized.
6:47 p.m., Lutsen: Deer struck just south of Clearview.
8:03 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said he was tailgated
on the way home from the C-Store, and the driver was
flashing his lights.
11:14 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that the stop sign at
the intersection of Highway 61 and Fifth Avenue West
is down, apparently taken out by a plow.
Thursday, March 6
9:12 a.m., Grand Marais: Possible animal neglect
reported.
2:07 p.m., Lutsen: Deer struck by a vehicle near County
Road 35.
3:58 p.m., Grand Marais: Tree down on the Gunflint
Trail near Norwester.
4:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a parked vehicle
that has expired tabs.
5:29 p.m., Grand Marais: False fire alarm at Bethlehem
Lutheran Church. Someone burned something in the
kitchen.
Friday, March 7
10:43 a.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the hospital
for a 23-year-old man with an injured leg.
4:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a dirt bike riding
around out on the harbor ice.
6:35 p.m., Schroeder: Deer struck by a vehicle and still
alive on the highway.
8:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was a deer
in the right lane just south of Cascade, with its head up
and looking around.
Saturday, March 8
11:48 a.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for
a 40-year-old woman with a rib injury.
12:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said the water in his
house just quit running.
3:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Snowmobile accident near
Trail Center.
6:44 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Surfside.
Sunday, March 9
8:56 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he was bitten by a
dog on West Second Street.
1:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost wallet reported.
3:06 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
46-year-old man with a broken leg.
3:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there was a deer
in the woods with a broken leg, and it needs to be put
down.
5:51 p.m., Lutsen: Hit-and-run at Lutsen Resort.
8:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Snowmobilers ran out of gas.
8:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle parked on the
highway at mile marker 117.
