Monday, Feb. 24
2:16 p.m., Lutsen: A vehicle was stuck on the state trail
between the Lutsen access and Caribou access. Tow
company called.
4:25 p.m., Lutsen: Lost money clip and ID reported at
Papa Charlie’s.
4:34 p.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle was broken down
on the side of the highway at mile marker 102.
7:22 p.m., Schroeder: Residential burglar alarm was
cancelled.
Tuesday, Feb. 25
1:33 p.m., Lutsen: Domestic situation.
Wednesday, Feb. 26
4:26 p.m., Grand Marais: A truck accidentally backed
into a snowmobile.
Thursday, Feb. 27
4:29 a.m., Grand Marais: Burglar alarm at Mike’s
Holiday.
9:38 a.m., Tofte: Parked vehicle struck by a passing
vehicle on Good Neighbor Hill.
10:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he ran into a
snow bank as he turned into his driveway, cracking the
front bumper, and now the wheel rubs on the plastic.
2:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious person reported at
Sivertson Gallery.
Friday, Feb. 28
11:36 a.m., Hovland: Dead deer in the eastbound lane
of the highway.
2:00 p.m., Hovland: A Como truck turned on its side
at North and Camp 20 roads. There were no injuries
reported, and nothing was leaking.
2:40 p.m., Grand Marais: A van struck a deer on the
highway near Paradise Beach.
10:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller heard three shots in
the area of Aspen Inn.
Saturday, March 1
3:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller’s yellow Lab escaped
and was out running loose on West Second Street.
11:37 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there are a couple
people out walking on the harbor ice, and he (caller)
feels it is unsafe and dangerous.
4:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer hit and still alive on the
highway at Croftville Road.
4:29 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said kids have been
trying to take her picnic table and the coverings on her
garden. She also has a concern about wolves. There are
a lot of them around, and there are little kids playing.
She asked to speak with a deputy about it.
Sunday, March 2
1:53 a.m., Grand Marais: State Patrol requested a
deputy to assist with a traffic stop.
