2:21 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Bethlehem
Lutheran Church said he just heard one big boom
below his residence, and it sounded louder than ice
cracking.
2:47 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy requested to remove
an intoxicated person from a residence.
6:49 a.m., Lutsen: Power outage on Rollins Creek Road.
9:46 a.m., Tofte: False smoke alarm from Bluefin.
10:22 a.m., Grand Marais: Carbon monoxide detectors
going off at North House Folk School.
4:04 p.m., Grand Marais: A vehicle was stuck in a
snowbank at West Fifth Street-Eighth Avenue West.
10:03 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy requested to
remove an unwanted person from a residence.
Tuesday, Jan. 28
1:09 a.m., Lutsen: Report of intermittent power outages
since midnight.
6:35 a.m., Lutsen: Semi in the ditch at mile marker 91.
8:24 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of suspicious activity
at a vacant house.
11:37 a.m., Hovland: Personal trash was dumped in the
Dumpster at the post office.
1:28 p.m., Lutsen: Fire alarm at Caribou Highlands
determined to be false.
Wednesday, Jan. 29
11:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about parking
and traffic congestion near the library.
7:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic warning given.
Thursday, Jan. 30
10:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Domestic argument.
10:52 p.m., Grand Marais: MnDOT was contacted to
remove a recliner that was left in the Cascade State
Park parking lot.
Friday, Jan. 31
3:00 a.m., Grand Portage: A list of gas drive-offs was
received from the C-Store.
4:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Two-vehicle accident
involving a parked car near Java Moose.
8:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported septic issues
on Seventh Avenue West.
Saturday, Feb. 1
10:11 a.m., Lutsen: Vehicle in the ditch near Clearview.
11:24 a.m., Grand Marais: Two-vehicle fender-bender
at Highway 61 and Second Avenue West. No injuries
reported.
1:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Car in the ditch at Ugly Baby.
The Highway Department was notified of very slippery
road conditions.
6:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch off
County Road 60.
6:10 p.m., Grand Portage: Vehicle in the ditch off Mile
Creek Road.
11:40 p.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin.
Sunday, Feb. 2
3:05 p.m., Lutsen: Vehicle in the ditch at Clearview.
4:44 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for
a 32-year-old man with a rib injury and having trouble
breathing.
